In a dark woods paved with snow living all alone
I forgot long ago what I'm looking for
Firecracker lightning seed coming back to me
This is how
You made my heart a hunter
I remember my little seed louder than a dream
I let my golden arrow fly to the bottom of the night
No hounds to guide me no army at my back
I'm gonna stand up
Firecracker lightning seed coming closer to me
This is how
You made my heart a hunter
Sunrise burns my fortress down crumbling to the ground
I found my arrow my lightning spark buried in my heart
No hounds to guide me no army at my back
I'm gonna stand up
Firecracker lightning seed it was always in me
This is how
You made my heart a hunter
I forgot long ago what I'm looking for
Firecracker lightning seed coming back to me
This is how
You made my heart a hunter
I remember my little seed louder than a dream

Love me some Delerium!!!

If that is as good as it gets then it is a shame - it barely exceeds the sound of the breathing, which alas equates with emotion these days.

Delirium needs to do a song titled Euphoria... Get it??

I will let others observe how blind is such a comment, unless you find gravel-voiced men really objectionable. I have known women whose voices are simply pitched at a high frequency. This ain't falsetto!
Someday grown women will want to stop sounding like toddlers. (I like Delerium otherwise).

Impressive output
The entire album is beautiful-glad to hear this again.
Lieber im Delirium als dieses Gedudel anhören zu müssen.
Greeting from Bavaria to all the listebers outside. Stay safe!

Nice enough but I definitely prefer their harder trippier ambient stuff. Give me Tectonic Shift any time.

Yeah - this sounds exactly like "Lullaby" by The Cure...if you take about 50 tabs of LSD and cover your ears with oven mitts...maybe. Well, everyone hears different things I guess.
Robert Smith called, he would like "Lullaby" back.

Beautiful.
RP introduced me to this song years ago. I have never heard another song that makes me feel like I'm in a fantasy.

how many breathy little girl singers backed by simplistic melodies do we really need?

The song is amazing :)
Nope, it's Jennifer McLaren.

It probably is Sarah, she did the vocals on 'Silence'

My first time hearing this band and the vocal is really unpleasant.

wow that is awesome
So nice to hear a Delerium song that is not 'Silence'!
Delerium on tour in September!!
Leigh Nash and Kristy Thirsk on vocals.
I saw them in 2003 at the Showbox and they were absolutely wonderful!!
EDIT:
Saw them 09/13/08 in Seattle and was very disappointed. They didn't take the stage until after 11:00. They had a DJ spinning records as the third of the three opening acts. Two too many acts for me.
The mid-range was overwhelming in the mix. The pre-recorded synth and vocal tracks just made for a lot of muddled noise. There were no dynamics.
Oh, and Leigh Nash was MIA.
Quick song to end a party
Remember that Margaret Cho bit about visiting a colon therapy clinic, and how something about the music of Enya facilitates release? So does this song.
Yummy. Dreamy.

LOL!
Oh, and very much in agreement with the initial sentiment.

Classic Delerium - this actually not being one of the best songs on this album, I think.
More Delerium please.
not so peppy for a late Tuesday work set either...but I guess not everyone is working right now!

4 on this one. Falls somewhere short of full-out spacey gooey goodness for me, but hey, that's me.
tedious drivel

I second that!

hm... I was just commenting the refreshing quality of the stripped down production of Hem and Suzanne Vega earlier in this set. This is an example of how the Tori / Sarah / Dido / Kate style overproduction can leave a song soul-less.
You know, I agree. I was just thinking how I was really getting into the song... but wasn't certain I would be able to tolerate multiple listens.

Agree. But still above average of what I hear here: an 8
Ah, memories. This goes easily on a 10-scale, it is actually that good. Go go delerium.

is it me going crazy, or do I hear Robbie Robertson's "Somewhere Down the Crazy River" melody in here... :?

Well said, and in red, no less.
Cool tune. Likeable anyway.

She reminds me a bit of Fleming from Fleming & John.
One of the percussion instruments sounds like the "funk" alert on macs. I keep checking my email. I like the song, though.

Is this a song about Mrs. Howell on Gilligan\'s Island?
Just kidding......I love this song.
:D
there's already a number of Conjure One tunes in the RP library...
\"Make a Wish\", too, but I\'m a Poe fanatic. I think Sinead O\'Connor\'s \"Tears from the Moon\", which is also on that CD, gets airplay around here.

Pleeeeeeeze, Bill!!!!
Oh, I know! I borrowed it from a friend, it is really gorgeous. I especially love "The Center of the Sun" with Poe. She has such a cool voice.
Yeah, Bill. I second the nomination for anything from that disc!!! You'll be my hero!!
I don\'t like their \"top 40\" hit material, just doesn\'t work for me. But this is very nice. An easy \"likeable\".

I'm with you kaw2271 - I hear the same thing and I'm tired of it
what Shimmer said - this is probably my least favorite on this album... but then again, I like the album so much, I\'ve already listened to it once today. :) Matthew Sweet (and Leigh Nash) are the standouts.
Bought the CD on a whim after hearing this on RP. Good album. The Matthew Sweet song stands out as the best. This one is good, but not as good as several others on the album.

Reminds me a lot of Merrie Amsterberg... interesting; --d
I really liked it.. \'Fallen Icons\' sounds a lot like what I\'d expect Kate Bush to be doing nowadays.
I have yet to hear the rest of the album, though.
Cheers!
Blarg!
This band define the rating system's "Sucko-Barfo" category.
I was about to say the same thing about "Godlike"
I am continually baffled by the number of dudes who seem to have a great range of male voices they enjoy yet can only distinguish female voices by comparison to three or four archetypical women in all of the last six decades of recorded music. My brothers, your bias is showing. Train your ears to the vast music you are missing out on by dismissing it out of hand. And Kate Bush comparisons.
