No tengas miedo, no seas cobarde
Si no la sacas a bailar
Otro vendra y juntos se van
Juntos se van, juntos se van
Otro vendra y juntos se iran
Sacacla hermano ponte a bailar
Mira que te llama maria..

[Chorus]
Sacala hermano ponte a bailar mira que te llama maria

[Chorus]
Sacala, que ya viene, esa nena, nena linda..

I'd like to see one of their shows with Cut Chemist and Chali 2Na, but it seems like those only happen in CA...
Listening to this now on PSD rather than some mindnumbing pendejada de Porcupine Tree on the pinche main channel.  Oorale chamacos!
Ick
Love the Ozo, Bill! Keep it coming!

Play ONLY this next time you're tempted to play Bavid Byrne's bastardization.

Which one? Any Mexican restaurant that plays Ozomatli is one worth frequenting.
This ROCKS!

Just saw them live in Oakland at a street festival - they had the crowd in a frenzy. Too much fun + loads of talent!

I'm sorry, but "suck" is such a general verb. Could you be more specific? What exactly do you have against a committment to social justice, progressive politics and being against war? From their website it apppears they are using their music to bridge differences between cultures and promote understanding. A worthy goal as far as I'm concerned.
saw them long time ago, very fun
Very good.

so much fun, i love ozomatli. I bet they must have such a blast playin their music, i know i would
I saw Ozomatli on Austin City Limits last weekend and thought they were great. That was my first time seeing/hearing them. Glad to catch them on RP!

Why does this album have a parental advisory label? Sure doesn't sound like it would.
Might have to do with the release date; the 11th of Sept. 2001. Plus, anything remotely connected to Cuba's gotta be bad
I am not sure what 'sucko-barfo' means. Not a phrase previously in my vocabulary. However it most eloquently expresses my feelings about this abomination. His Bobness referred to the 'jingle-jangle' morning. I think he had in mind this track. Thin, annoying, lacking in substance, and bereft of any merit whatsoever. I didn't like it!
Grazais Bill! Es muy bueno.
This is just chock full of juice.
RP never ceases to amaze me. Excellent choice with Ozomatli, this is one of my favorite bands and they are perfect for RP. They have to be one of the best bands to see live - the big band, the energy. They mix of all kinds of latin music, rock, and hip-hop and even middle-eastern sounds. Ozomatli - Aztec god of dance. Es fuego!
Very nice. Why does this album have a parental advisory label? Sure doesn't sound like it would.
ozo played a free outdoor concert at stanford as part of a movement to stop the iraq war and promote peace. they rocked - one of the best concerts i've been to, hands down.

They make me want to dance.

Buen ritmo, buena instrumentacion, me like a lot! :) Oscar
No son timido sino que muy bueno!
Judging by their website, their politics is progressive/anarchist. What a relief, I thought maybe they were Republicans.

Yes, be specific, you dumb ass...
Ozomatli stinkomatli.
uhh .. could you be more vague? Are they promoting hate, violence, or do they just contradict your politics? I am only asking the question. I don't know anything about their sucky politics or yours. :-) amcallis wrote:

This has nothing to do with the quality of their music.

I assume you meant "Me gusta Ozomatli" which means "Ozomatli pleases me" rather than what you wrote, which could be construed to mean "I please Ozomatli"

They played here in SB thursday night! GREAT SHOW INDEED!
These guys put on a great show. Very, very fun & lots of dancing. It's pretty much impossible to stand still. If the band doesn't make you move, the energy from the crowd will.
I went backwards.. I bought Street Signs first. This is good too, though I think Street Signs is better.
Yo gusto Ozomatli.

I suppose that this is pretty good for what it is. But whatever it is, it ain't what I'd call rock, eclectic or not. The whole evening has been real heavy on multicultural music-appreciation tests: I flunk.
Agreed. Some of this is okay from time to time, but the genre swing is often too fast and too heavy and, IMHO, hurts the overall format of the station. This has become increasingly true over the last six to nine months. I continue to assert the need for a multi-channel RP to off-load some of the "multicultural music-appreciation tests" and provide better genre balancing. Let the listener vote by their channel selection which genre they most appreciate. Reply by PM if you must as I may never visit this song comment again.

May be it is not rock, but it rocks! \:D/
They are wonderful live... if you ever get the chance (and like good music with lots of energy) definately check them out.
Woohoo!! Ozomatli is awesome, one of the most eclectic/incredible LA salsa groups I've heard. (Plus you HAVE TO dig when they put Chali 2Na of Jurassic 5 on the mike...) Wish someone would upload some more of their stuff.
