The intro reminded me of the Jazz Butcher for some reason. Line of Death.
Love this movie. Cool track.

LOVE this film. Such a great soundtrack and an experience. The director is insanely talented to make a great film AND compose music for it.
Great movie but this track is certainly a Yello knock off...
Anybody else hearing Yellow?
We had Moby with the "Bourne" soundtrack about an hour ago, and now Franka Potente makes a return with the soundtrack from "Lola Rennt."

This sounds a LOT like Yello.
Where they involved?

I loved this film! I love this soundtrack! I used to listen to it while working out at the gym. Thanks for reminding me of it, RP! Time to put it on my smartphone.
Just a wee bit of Killing Joke influence here.

Ruuuuuuun!! Go Lola!
Bill, yourselves + BBC6 Music... never a dull audio experience! class film and soundtrack
Bill... you can find each of these guys individually on Wiki. For some reason I can't add a third link for Reinhold Heil. Tykwer is the film director of Run Lola Run.

I am very surprised to hear this on RP! Great! Sleeper in Metropolis of Anne Clark would fit nicely after this.
If you like Run Lola Run, I can recommend The Princess and the Warrior, the second movie of Tom Tykwer.
In German it's called Der Krieger und die Kaiserin.

Ok, amazing movie, awesome song, etc, etc, BUT it's not Paradise!
I will never forget - my girlfriend and I went to go see Meet the Fockers, and it was the only movie I have ever walked out of. 30 minutes in and we were done. Went to the movie rental store (yes it was a while ago) and rented this movie. It was great! So i will always love this song too.
I miss Yellow too
Good song for early get-to-work.
this would segue well with Yin Yang and the Flower Pot Man by Love and Rockets. Whooooooooooooooooosh
Here we go again with the physical effects, this gets me ready to run, too!!!! Like it, but it causes stress reaction....
Charles Ives LIVES!
Ok, amazing movie, awesome song, etc, etc, BUT it's not Paradise!
awesome ...
First time I hear this song on RP. Good memories from watching this film.
Franka Potente
this song gets me quitting radio paradise
Amazing movie, btw...
Came into the house after a longish bike ride, this tune filling the house, perfect.
Would like to buy this song, but certainly don't want to buy the entire soundtrack. Rules out iTunes (don't have it) and Amazon (actually think you'll buy the whole thing).
Hurumph!

Awesome movie, awesome song, and Bill gets super props for having the guts to play it!

I really love this film. Very original and entertaining. I have the CD too and listen to it frequently. Well, most of it. This song repeats itself a bit much. . .
I dig it.
Smells of Platipus Records about halfway through... ah well... most of it does come to think of it... Those were the days. :)
Have never heard this one on RP. A longtime fav, though. Fun movie, cool soundtrack.
Was is it just a long music video? 9 up
i love everything has to do with that movie...!
I found myself dancing at my desk to this song. Looked foolish.
I just added the movie to my Netfix queue.
Damn this is good stuff!
Now if you hadn't given us the John Lee Hooker history lesson, I could have caught the whole song.

They ripped this off from the 80's nihilistic techno-pop group Autobahn man! This aggression will not stand, man! I mind! The Dude minds!
I thought this was from the movie!
Great movie, liked it better in German with subtitles.

Hi, Sonny
Yes, but I am partial to the black guitar playing boogie woogie fellow's wishes. They make more sense and, by God, just feel better.
Does anyone know if the third man is Johannes Heil?
Thanks!!
Edit: I answer myself... nooooooooooo!!!!
Another guy called Heil
This movie was so awesome. I may just have to rent it on the way home, now.

wasn't this in the first terminator as well?
I'm pretty sure the whole sound track for Run Lola Run was written specificly for that movie.

Cool track. Gonna see if I can find the moovie.
Netflix definitely has it; that's how I watched it.
the movie was very good! european style with german engineering (timing, sequencing . . . very cool)
Almost EVERY coffeeshop in Amsterdam last trip . . .
This reminds me of Division Kent, AND (as a previous post pointed out) Tangerine Dream. Very nice!
wasn't this in the first terminator as well?
Definitely a kind of Tangerine Dream-ness to it.
Just got this on blu-ray, the animations look even more trippy
My family has this CD, we play it during our bridge games :D (we stop playing when the CD finishes).
This gets a 10 just for the automatic reference to one of the best movies ever created.
Few movies integrate music into its narrative the way this one does.
Fantastic.

Just picture a girl running her buns off nonstop as if her life depended on it.
Well, her boyfriend's life DID depend on it!
The music vividly reminds me of the film.
This is my favorite Run Lola Run experiment.
The guys at IAC in NYC projected hundreds of frames of Run Lola Run on the wall at the same time in sequence. it has to be seen to be believed.
wish I was a stranger??
I wish I was a starship
in silence flying by
I wish I was a princess
with armies at her hand
I wish I was a ruler
whod make them understand
I wish I was a writer
who sees whats yet unseen
I wish I was a prayer
expressing what I mean
I wish I was a forest
of trees that do not hide
i wish i was a clearing
ill see whats left inside
i wish i was a hunter
in search of different food??
which fits into the mood
i wish i was a person
with unlimited bliss
i wish i was a heartbeat
that never comes to rest
Yeah!!! electronic Music I love it!!!!! =D

Wow, I cannot believe I am hearing this on RP. I had just unearthed this mp3 in my own collection a few weeks ago and hadn't heard it in years. Fun song, and cheers to RP to playing it!
Wow! Great. Thanks Bill!
This is the best running album ever. If I had to run, I would listen to this.
SHAFT! John Shaft. (at the beginning)
MANNI!
nice.
Holly gods! I love RP.
good god, RP even has me grooving along to electronica. Bill must be taking over my brain. Must write check...must write check...

You would never hear this on broadcast radio. RP is great.
Immer wieder höllisch treibend und grossartig die Musik!
Have to watch the movie again these days...
Trippy, didn't think I was on RP for a minute there....
Great Movie I must say!
'Lola rennt' happened to be one of those surprisingly innovative movies that stay in your mind.
And of course a godlike soundtrack, especially this track.
super !!
This was one of those songs where I wasn't paying attention to it but gradually, even before I knew it, it took me over.
Good stuff.
Have not heard this in awhile...
I cannot imagine how intense something like this would be live. Very nice...
Awesome movie !!!
Thanks for playing this! Great!

Awesome movie, awesome soundtrack.
KmFDM?
... yup, my two bob's worth agrees, wonderful movie, great soundtrack, i'd see it again, no worries
Gee, it must be time to head off to the health club!
Love this soundtrack and this movie, a post-modern "Vertigo." It's true - the director says so:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Run_Lola_Run
I need to watch this film again!
Yeeehaaaa. Turning the lights off 'n on, really getting into this.
I finally saw this film recently and liked it ... interesting premise. Cool music.
Better than good, I would say. Not entirely original (see Kieslowski's Blind Chance or even Kurosawa's Rashomon), but hugely entertaining. And this is the perfect music for it. If you haven't yet done so, check out the soundtrack.
Some day I'll actually see this movie.
But this is total chair-bop music. I'm flashing back to the Ghostbusters music used when the spooks were all drifting through the city... same folks?
Franka Potente. Also in the first Bourne film.
And the second one
