(Five six seven fifty)
You fucked it up
You should've quit
Till circumstances
Had changed a bit
You fucked it up
You jumped the gun
I swore you off but
You climbed back on
And when you said
Of course you know
Could I be blamed
If I'd wished it so
I don't think so
You fucked it up
Or was it you
'Cause when you said it
I said it too
What of it
And all that stuff
I knew before
Just turned into
Please love me more
Please love me more
Please love me more
Please love me more
Please love me more
Please love me more
Please love me
You fucked it up

Lazy, derivative, lyrically banal rubbish

The distortion is tasty. Thank you, Aimee.
What an opening line !
this rocks . . . and an appropriate use of a naughty word . . . it works in this context
Hell Fu**ing YES, this is a great song from a great album.....ooops, did I offend your plastic ears with my language?
So terribly sorry.......
So terribly sorry.......
I suggest someone upload Monty Python's "I bet you they won't play this song on the radio" so Bill can play it after every song that makes people worry about the airwaves and their children's ears being polluted with dirty words.

All for freedom of speech, but some of you haven't experienced the shock of your 10-yr old experimenting with these words for the first time. Good luck to you! Thanks RP for playing this on school time.
My all time favorite Aimee song!!!!!

The lesser known tune from a great album of the 90s. My hat is tipped to Aimee.
tappin' my toe
One of the great albums of the 90s. And the title was pretty clever too.
Bill, why does Aimee get to say 'F-ed it up' without censorship but Mumford is not allowed to in 'Little Lion Man.' I am just calling for a little equality here.
I'm very much love Aimee, but this disc is not for me, except for this track. By the way, she will be a concert Sept. 13. in Minneapolis, envy those who go in advance
I am SO laughing here - her second word was the "F-Bomb." God, I adore this woman. And the song is just wonderful. Long live Aimee Mann... (and how I would LOVE to see her and Jennifer Trynin in concert together...) Everything I'm Cracked Up to Be

It saddens me deeply how unevolved humans actually are when they're still offended by the use of powerful words in artistic and emotional expression. Political correctness is fucking dull.

Don't we have bigger things to worry about than the (let it be said, artful) use of a profanity in a rock song? Sheesh. I think I just heard George Carlin turn over in his grave.

"F-bomb"? What are you guys, eleven years old? "Fuck" is a perfectly good and old Saxon word, deriving from the Middle Dutch, "fokken" (to thrust, copulate with). This song, however, is not perfectly good.

If your mom is offended, then maybe you should have the same discussion with her.
Nothing like a good, honest family conversation to help cleanse what looks to be a nasty Puritanical streak running through your life.
Maybe you should stick to NPR.
, OK - OK - I see your point....no, I do not want to see the FCC get their claws into Bill...jeesh....but sometimes I get the feeling that Bill plays stuff like this with a wink just to illicit those "ever intriguing listener comments"......I have to admit, it was kind of fun to see all of the hubbub my comments caused....
Anyway, when I wrote that, it was the third time in a week where it was played & the timing couldn't have been worse....we have RP streaming all through the house and outdoors....which leads to the mad dash to turn it down...because, yes, it is true - I don't particularly want to listen to that with my 6 year old ...or my Mom.... so it is a small inconvenience for me for all of good that RP brings to the airwaves...which is priceless.

What time of day was that. And in which timezone? Following your logic, RP should only play sanitised versions of songs because someone, somewhere around the world, might have RP playing at work or in their living room with their pre-school children.
Fuck it, it's only a word describing a totally necessary biological act!
1. That's what headphones are for.
2. The FCC hasn't gotten their claws into internet radio yet, thank god. I'm sure someday they'll try to save our precious ears from this material, but then the servers streaming the music will only move to another jurisdiction.

I don't think so..."F-bombs" go too far for me at this time of day IMHO...many of us are listening at work.

One of her very best.
Let's hear the live take from St. Anne's... twice the grit and power.
Love the "Squeeze" riff in the middle...
Good timing, Bill. My kids were out of the room.
Aimee ROCKS!!!

She is a serious artist and does have some not so great moments.
I'd still take her throwaways over a lot of peoples stuff.

Decay - right in front of our eyes. Slippery slope, camel's nose under the tent - see above. (He's with Stupid).
Anyway, I never thought myself to be a prig, but I don't much care to have employees and customers hear vulgerities in the office.
From now on, I'm on "Long Shot" volume alert. Too bad.

Oh, my virgin ears!!!
Evidently she wrote this song when a long time friend professed love. What a nice way to reply to someone when they tell you they love you.
"You Fucked it up".
Sheesh.
That said, its a pretty good song. Albeit typical Aimee.

This ain't no FM radio - this is the real thing. Soak it up, folks. It won't be long before places like this will be under the gun from the moral dorks who think censorship will solve the world's problems.
Long live RadioParadise.
If she'd bottled it and said 'freakin' it'd be a 1. If you're going to swear, bloody well swear properly.
This album got it's share of rotations in my car and this song is one of the rawkinest on it.

Theme song for my Arizona Wildcats this evening against Illinois. :grumpy.gif:
Probably my favorite Aimee song.
good times.
There are lots of great Aimee Mann songs, but this is one of my all-time favorites. Thanks for playing it!
:iamwith:
Thank you for turning me on RP. She's got a nice voice.
The first guitar riffs sounded like the Doobie brothers and then...gets really boring...The background beat make it sound like a Natalie Imbruglia song...LOL
I first heard Amiee Mann in my father's car and I didn't realize who she was - just that I loved her voice!
This is a great song! Thanks for playing it!

Too many standard sound effects, too little of Aimee Mann's voice. Definitely NOT her best.
warm fuzzy flashback to summer break one year in college... <3 to aimee!!!
I like this better than some of her other work, which I've found to be ok but unremarkable. I'm always interested in hearing more from female artists, though, so I make sure to listen up when she is played in the hopes of hearing beyond the middle of the road pop sound. This song achieves that and it is encouraging to think that more of her work might reflect this more edgy sound.
Ditto the previous post. I love this album. Amateur & That's Just What You Are would be welcome additions also.
Bill - THANK YOU for finally playing something from this album! I\'m With Stupid is her best album - every song on it is so memorable and melodic. Beatlesque is that regard. Thanks again!
First time hearing this song. Sounds pretty good. Wouldn\'t mind hearing more of her stuff.
Kevin
i love this song! bill, please play it more often. jeff in miami beach :D
