I looked under tables
I try to find the key
To fifty million fables
They call me the seeker
I've been searchin' low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
'Til the day I die
I asked [[Bob Dylan|Bobby Dylan]]
I asked [[The Beatles]]
I asked Timothy Leary
But he couldn't help me, either
They call me the seeker
I've been searchin' low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
'Til the day I die
People tend to hate me
Cause I never smile
As I ransack their homes
They wanna shake my hand
Focusin' on nowhere
Investigatin' miles
I'm a seeker
I'm a really desperate man
I won't get to get what I'm after
'Til the day I die
I learned how to raise my voice in anger
Yeah, but look at my face, ain't this a smile
I'm happy when life's good, and when it's bad I cry
I got values, but I don't know how or why
I'm lookin' for me
You're lookin' for you
We're lookin' at each other
And we don't know what to do
They call me the seeker
I've been searchin' low and high
I won't get to get what I'm after
'Til the day I die
Since when is age indicative of musical quality? Well I guess then by that logic, Mozart and Beethoven suck.
i'm pretty sure that original comment was meant as a joke.
Only 7.7? deserves higher IMHO
Just put to 9
We were far from friends but I still think of him every time this comes on...
Any negative comments..shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Nadia Comăneci might disagree!
Good one!
If we took all the acts that have comments about "this is played too often" and heeded your advice, well then we'd be listening to Radio Silence...instead, I say Long Live Radio Paradise, and keep playing what you play, BillG!!
The seeker!!!
The Who:

That works out to be less than one play per day, even in February.
Thats Nick Hopkins
The Who are currently touring as guests of Guns n Roses in South America. I got roped in to chaperoning my 15 yr old daughter to the show - she was there primarily for GnR but was very impressed by Daltrey and Townshend, as were the rest of the youngsters, I suspect.
Of course, for GnR the crowd was all fists in the air and headbanging, but for The Who the mass was visibly throbbing, in more of a party mood.
These two septuagenarians put everything into it and clearly still have what it takes to get people's adrenalin going. The same energy they had in their 20s. Astounding.
Also astounding that the stadium was half empty when they came on - but local paper blamed that on the 18:00 start.. a lot of folks still commuting from work at that time.
I'm glad they laid it down for the crowd. When I saw them perform at the Super Bowl, I wondered whether the line "Hope I die before I get old" was echoing mockingly in their heads.
Many would differ in that opinion.
Only every single day? R U that stingy? I think every hour might be a better deal. Only maybe the greatest kick cl-assssssssss-ic rock and roll band of all time. If you're under 50, you had to be there, I guess.

Gosh this band is in need of a decent drummer, guitar player, and a vocalist that can sing R n R.
I just don't get it. Why don't you play some Kid Rock or Foo Fighters? Those guys can are really creative.

I saw him speak twice: once in 1976 at my college and again in the early 80s in SF. But that second one was during his stint as a (no kidding) stand up comedian.
The Who at their least authentic.
Maybe so... but the Entwistle bass hook, Moon's drumming, and Daltrey's vocals... ok, this is a subdued Pete Townshend performance. If all pop drivel grooved like this, the world would be a pretty awesome place. Kid Rock indeed!

I love the Kid Rock to Foo Fighters comparison. Very accurate indeed.

Fredriley hates The Who and prog rock, but likes punk. Doctors cannot explain his preference for the Worzels. His right cross is more powerful than that of a professional boxer weighing three stones more. He knows Gaelic but is not sure why.
Fredriley might be The Most Interesting Man in the World.
"His personality is so magnetic, he is unable to carry credit cards.
Even his enemies list him as their emergency contact number.
He never says something tastes like chicken. Not even chicken."
"Tell them I' F*cking coming!"
But Pete found "Pictures of Lilly" - didn't he...?
He was a succesful SEEKER!
And got away with it!
A good lawyer works magic!
They call me the peeper,
Been searching low and high.
I won't get to get what I'm after
Till the day I die.
Anything but Pete "just curious, me" Townsend. Hell, I'd take the Worzels cover of this over the original. Just as I was getting nice and relaxed after three 8s on the trot as well...

Or forgiven!
Yes, but I prefer the Rush version
Ditto, the live version from "R30" is remarkably good. Everyone, go sample it at your mp3 vendor of choice!

https://www.thewurzels.com/disco.htm - I looked. . . I don't believe they did a cover. . .
On the flip side though, I recently re-bought this album after selling my vinyl some decades ago and Mrs Poacher and I rocked out and pretended to stick our heads in a bass bin.

THE RUSH VERSION??? (HACK! COUGH! SPUTTER! WHEEZE!) That's so blasphemous, I have no comment!!!!
Mmm...partner in blasphemy here.
A solid and nostalgic 9 from Poacher.
Your dad had great taste and taught you well!
Yes, but I prefer the Rush version

Love some early Who. Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy was a hellacious album.
Indeed. Doesn't get any better.
Yes, but I prefer the Rush version
The RUSH version? WTF?
Love the original and Rush is great at it's own stuff, but...
