I really like this, but reading the allegations of cultural appropriation /aka theft, I think it should be taken out of rotation. World music is a great thing, but not like this.
Bill, this should (in my opinion) be removed from your play list due to its apparent misappropriation of aboriginal music and spiritual practices.

Working on some boring federal grant reports and other such accounting tasks and this music is making the task much more pleasant
I wish we had some real Native Americans making music like this. I would give it a 10 regardless.
This project is run by Germans, and they ripped off a Laplander (indigenous people of Finland) vocal recording , passed them off as Native American, and never paid them royalties. At least they give some money to N.A. charities. Still, it's pretty icky. Nice and authentic, really respectful.
"On the first album, the song "The Counterclockwise Circle Dance" was presented as a native American chant, however the main vocals are an authentic Sami yoik("Normo Jovnna" by Terje Tretnes), recorded in 1994 by Dutch Channel 4 during an interview as an example of a yoik. The recording, despite Channel 4's denial of having sold it, then ended up in a Virgin Records studio in the Netherlands. The Sami organisation Sámi kopiija demanded royalties from Virgin Records[7] but this has so far been unsuccessful."

I missed earlier palys of this - First time I heard this particular 'chant/song' was 14+years ago, live, in one the beautiful squares only Rome has and was totally transfixed - obviously I bought the CD 'the band' were selling - and then in Borehamwood (of all places) I heard the same 'band' - still love playing this and another Chats/Songs CD when I need to calm down!
"Sacred Spirit is a musical project by Claus Zundel, Ralf Hamm, and Markus Staab. The music is of electronic, new age, world and ambient genres.... In keeping with the Native American theme, Zundel adopted the pseudonym 'The Fearsome Brave', and on his many other projects he is simply credited as 'The Brave'." [Wikipedia]
This is appalling.
This is appalling.
Recent addition I've not heard before on RP or anywhere for that matter.
Going with a 5 on first listen. Only 127 rings on 1/27/21.

Difficulty in sleeping is not surprising in the circumstances - I seem to remember a few nights awake thinking about my own personal mortality, and how my body had surprisingly 'broken down' on me.
But I am still here, misbehaving some six years later ... Enjoy!
Whilst recovering from my heart attack I found it hard to sleep. This album helped me get back on my feet.

This whole album is great to listen to either while you work as background, or at the end of a long day when you're just sitting quietly with the strereo on and a whiskey in you hand.
Needs some air time!
