This one can safety stay in 1982.
I hated this song 34 years ago, and it hasn't really gotten any better since.
The good news is I never hear it anymore but here at RP, so it's got that going for it, which is nice.

Haven't heard this in a while! :-)
Yessssss!
Sounds like 1982, alright.
Back in the day when I was teaching middle and high school, the kids were always playing this album and Thriller. Men at Work and Rubik's cubes hanging from students' clothing always reminds me of that time.
Johnny, be good?

For the longest time I thought they were saying "BIGGOT Johnny"
It sounds more sinister, but the lyrics otherwise fit. "Tell me Johnny, what kind of boy are you?" Could be a call for introspection.
Somebody got Colin Hay's number? I wanna call him and tell him to remake the song with a new, deeper meaning more relevant to what's happening these days.

Awesome...always stayed until the end of the video. My favorite from Men at Work.
I always liked this song:
BeGoodBeGoodBeGoodBeGoodBeGoodBeGoodBeGoodBeGood...
...that chorus, large intervals at full voice near the upper end of his range, must have been very difficult to sing!

Saw Men at Work at the Ampitheatre Darwin Australia in the 80`s.One of the best concerts I have ever seen.Back in the days when esky races were still legal!

To hear this from the man formerly known as LAZA RUSS is relatively disappopinting!
So you are ultimately also nothing but a couch surfer, Laza?

Great album, love it.
I remember there being a rather funny video for this. At the end, Colin was doing this silly kicking dance. Good memories!
Always liked this group & Talking heads - this is an upbeat, fun song
Love, Love Love.
More Men at Work/Colin Hay, please.

Haven't heard this song in a long while. A gem among the endless pop songs of Billy Joel and Michael Jackson of the early 80s.

A blast from the past, Aussie guitar-based rock n roll, bucking the trend in a time when synth was totally taking over!

I thought this sounded familiar. I used to have this album back in the day, but had completely forgotten about this song.
No, just cannot grow into liking this song. I tried
6th grade is rushing back to me. Yikes. Love the song, though.
So sad to hear of the many who run from the arms of a loving God because of the perversions of men in power. Krakus wrote:

We used to love playing this tune in our cars. Very catchy and lots of fun and not the big hit.
This is a decent song, but I don't share Bill and Rebecca's fondness for Colin Hay. It's kinda fun to have this thrown into the mix now and again, which is about how often Hay's material gets in. Beyond that, it just doesn't do a lot for me, and there's so much else I'd rather hear. I guess there's always PSD.

I think I like the version on Man At Work a little better, although they're quite similar.
Very under-rated album from a solid band. Of course everyone knows the 1 or 2 overplayed songs from these guys, but I recommend this entire album...along with 'Cargo'!!
I actually like this band and certainly Colin Hay's solo work, but this one should have been left in the 80s.
That is very odd.. I uploaded it.. its never been played, and I did have the correct album name on the upload.. and it shows it when I go to that part of the site to see my uploads..
ohwell..
maybe a grass roots movement to play some of the gems that often get missed over.. I uploaded one from The Fixx .. called Outside .. heavy hitting beat... beautiful sounding song.. but it was rejected :(
some day... ;) some day I'll build a BETTER radio station.. but first to concur the world.. then fill in the small things..
Fun tune, amusing video, Play it!
BTW--it is from BUSINESS AS USUAL, not CARGO!
