She likes to put on pretty things and watch herself go walking by
If she turns her head just so much down her head and glances low
She'll see another woman
But she don't like early in the morning, best to let her wake herself
If you can't respect her warning
You might wind up waking someone else
Day after day
And nothing ever seems to stay the same
Every time she's up she's almost down, again
Day after day after day
There's nothing she can do to turn me away
Just within the limits of a dream
She's smoking tea with lazy queens
Wrapped in scarf's and draped in beads
She laughs out loud and sure enough I can hear another woman
Wound up tight in the middle of the night
Company is hard to find
Long before the sky every gets light
She holds her head and slowly starts to cry
Day after day
And nothing ever seems to stay the same
Every time she's up she's almost down, again
Day after day after day
There's nothing she can do to turn me away
If she turns her head just so much down her head and glances low
She'll see another woman

This is a real \"so what?\" track - dull.
Donastia wrote:WHAT? You didn't just say that? This doesn't come anywhere near the grace and talent of Jack Johnson! But then again, a lot of people like white bread too.
(pimp)
I like it better than Jack Johnson.
would this have ever even been signed if it werent for the guy's heritage?
pretty bland, if you ask me.
well, the chorus sure is catchy... but the verses don\'t do it for me whoever got their sneaky little producer-fingers all over this album sure did make a mess. I love his voice though...
Almost like James Taylor meets Crowded House...
I like that it's got the vocal styling of JT but it's different musically, whereas some of the other cuts sound like JT songs.
I like it better than Jack Johnson.
I had the same thought without looking at his name - This guy sure sounds like James Taylor.
Wow. Sure did inherit his dad\'s voice.
