I truly believe what you a saying is a closed minded statement! while guitar playing is important the over all style of the song is important as well. this song for example is not about guitar, it's about the drive of the song. If Jack White were to break out in some kind of Page like guitar solo it would not fit in this song. Not all music has to have the long drawn out over played guitar riffs ,Which at times quite frankly annoys me. Perhaps new music now a days isn't as guitar driven as it use to be. You truly are closing yourself off to some wonderful music!!

You should watch "It Might Get Loud." Jack White holds his own on there with Jimmy Page. They also had the Edge on there, but you can ignore that part.
Album released in 2003, not 2008...
Absolutely love this one. Maybe because I have a thing for bass lines... But this one was on every single MP3 player since I was...well, for a very long time :D

That is absolutely no justification for giving a low rating to the original and wonderous version of this rock and roll classic.

In my day to learnt Louie Louie as your first guitar lick, then I think it became Smoke on the Water, now I am hearing this one. Play on.

There's a cool bit in It Might Get Loud where The Edge asks Jack White how he came about developing the lick at the beginning of this song. Then we see Jack, The Edge and Jimmy Page all jamming on Seven Nation Army. Great movie. Worth watching.

Saw them play this twice in concert. One of the best rock tunes of any era. Too bad they are no more.
