I think I'm being accused of lying about the degree of attention I'm paying this artist.
But you're right; I do spend too much time posting. And I'm having a terrible time accurately regulating both the amount of time and the depth of thought per post per artist in accordance with respective levels of attention. I'll try harder in the future.

An awesomely sweet song from a brilliantly bittersweet album. Bright Eyes' best album, in my opinion.
I'm from Nebraska, too. I am proud of Brando, Fonda, and Carson as its favorite sons.
But don't pin too many hopes on this boy of limited talent. I predict he will disappear as rapidly as he appeared.
Sure, the critics love him. But I don't.
Proud to be a Nebraskan, because Conner is soo good. I am always amazed at the talent in his writing, the soundness/awareness he brings to mind at times, is a gift to all who care to listen! :goodvibes.gif:

Wow, reading these generally positive posts would leave you unaware of all the venom out there for BE (see "We are Nowhere" ).

Omaha's Saddle Creek boys make good - glad to see it.
This is my favorite song of 2002, (although Jesus etc. is close) and probably the best lyrics of the decade so far. Lovin' it!

This song sounds almost like a remake of the Dangling Conversation by Simon & Garfunkel
I think this song most reminded me of The Alarm's first work.
Does anyone remember those guys? The Alarm came out with their first album back in 1983 on IRS titled, The Alarm. "The Stand", was the best song.
But, that first album was also their best album. Acoustical, harmonicas
-calls for peace. anthems, you know?

What a great song, didnt even realize I had it in my cd collection, just took a look at the lyrics and they fit my mood completely. I had to hear it again. Glad RP didnt play they full track though, the second half is just meandering piano, doesnt fit the first half at all.

I don't mind it. I've had friends tell me how great Bright Eyes are but all I seem to recall is godawful screeching where the singer usually is. But this is just fine. In fact it's a 7.
Now I have a cd on loan from a friend and this track is pretty up compared with the rest of it, but still the cd is pretty cool. Some very pretentious production crap and some of the songs are not RP-able because they dissolve into racket but there's a Wilco thing there and some good pop songs there and overall I think it's going to be worth owning.
I'm too polite to tell you what this is really a bowl of.
