No offense here but it sounds like an "elevator music", kinda more complex
the intro kinda had me humming ..meet me Jesus.. in my dying day by Zep. rossiski wrote:

I got a taste of Porcupine Tree from that, anyone else hear that?
Little bit, yeah.

I think I understand your point, but to me this track is more like a spiral winding around a center than a straight line from here to there, and I like that about it.
That's a nice way of putting it . I get the OPs point about it sounding like an intro and, in linear listening mode, I do feel as if the song's about to start properly at some point, but in spiral mode I can appreciate it better. As the old saying goes, a circle has no end...

I love this ethnic, new age, ambient sound. I love this station for playing LOTSO stuff!
Oh, you know the screenplay?

Wasn't this the soundtrack from The Good, The Bad, and the Annoying?
Burt Reynolds and Ned Beatty are paddling down the river...
I won this cd a few years ago in some online contest. Pretty good background music. Out of all the tracks on the cd, this is one of the weakest. "Lost On A River" and "Elevator To My Soul" are good tracks to check out.
I hate when they start on only one chanel.. keep thinking my headphones are on the fritz...

Bought this album because of RP. Thanks, Bill!

Nice sound...but the whole dadgum thing sounds like an intro. I HATE songs that sound like intros. Get to it already!! Arrrrgh. Makes me want to smash my monitor.
I was thinking the same thing. This sounds very much like "Blue" with the fabulous Tina Dico, but it just never "happens".
Sounds cool. Studio stuff, right?

I hear that too. I was expecting someone to say that it was.

This fits my mood for this afternoon. Nice textures and instrumental combinations. Not everybody's cup o' tea, for sure, but it works for me.
Indeed. It's workin'.

Incidentally, in case it hasn't been mentioned, the bass player on that track happens to be Geddy Lee of Rush.

That doen'st surprise me. Not a huge fan of Rush as a band but have always thought that Mr. Lee is one hell of a bass player.
There's a vibe like the group TEXAS. I like.
Dig that bass line. Delish.
Thank you for the series Bill. It is helping on this dark, dark day...
Oh yeah.
Reason #137,843.... I listen to RP. New discoveries.
been a long time since I had the pleasure of spending the entire day with headphones on and this is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks Bill

A nice tune that takes me places.
Epic. Adventurous.
Upbeat and somber too
Awesome transitions - great musicians.
Already looking forward to hearing it again.
Yeah, what he said. Sincerely :highfive:
If you think this is on the verge of greatness or excellence, try some Bill Frisell. Good Dog Happy Man is a good album to start with.

This is really pleasing. It has the feel of something along the lines of Chris Whitley\'s first album, with soaring steel string and driving harmonica. The use of electronic material doesn\'t detract from the more organic instrumentation. Overall, a thoughtful mixture of human and machine.
This is pretty good. It threatened to become great a few times but didn\'t follow through very well.
