Except even this one probably couldn't be saved by someone else singing it. Jesus, it's making me tense!

This album is fantastic! Follow the story, follow the music, or follow both. The soul is there, baby. This is a glorious Neil "ditch" album. Rock on, Mr Young, you are one of the last of the true originals!
In order for me to tolerate Neil Young, he needs to be singing an exceptional song - and he does have a few. This one is not. :P
Perhaps he could have practiced the guitar a bit more before recording? The usual Neil Young fecal matter.
Very fine....like the first two albums of decades ago. Play more!
Thanks Bill - Saved me $15!
very nice - neil writes the best lyrics and is such a talented musician - I really enjoy listening to him - great addition to the playlist RP
I know this is supposed to be a concept album and haven't heard the rest of the album; but, it sounds like Neil wrote some lyrics and made no real specific attempt to create the music around the words (Ok, let's play this one in G guys). If he had something to say, he could have tried a little harder to make the music convey the message as well.
Like, um, almost every song he ever did? I dunno, I still like him, even if this sounds like a glorified three-chord garage band.
This is interminable.
Not one of Neil\'s best.
