I remember seeing her come to my college, she's one of the folk singers I associate with the 90s and have lots of fond memories of. glad she's getting some exposure.

You're not alone. My first thought was "wow, Lucinda Williams learned how to sing!" (decent musician, expressive singer, but not a quality singer).

Catie's sound has really matured with this record. Well done Catie.
Shades of Alanis made me look closer. Very nice.
and when it first started I thought I was going to be hearing a BachmanTunerOverdrive remake
Nice: A little Edie Brickell with some Mary Chapin Carpenter mixed in.
Nice... will look forward to hearing more from this artist.
