Still is still moving to me
I swim like a fish in the sea
All the time
But if that's what it takes to be free
I don't mind
Still is still moving to me
Still is still moving to me
And it's hard to explain how I feel
It won't go in words
But I know that it's real
I can be moving or I can be still
But still is still moving to me
Still is still moving to me
I swim like a fish in the sea
All the time
But if that's what it takes to be free
I don't mind
Still is still moving to me

And it's hard to explain how I feel
It won't go in words

I can be moving or I can be still
But still is still moving to me

I like the counterpoint of Willie's voice and I think Toots knew what he was doing when he decided to record this.
Willie does no wrong.
Fun little novelty song.

He just put out a bluegrass version of this song w/ Billy Strings. Good shit too. Go Willie wit yo bad self.
Scooby doobie to me
Since it's Toots, I upgraded Willy from a '1' to a '2'.
Right up there with Sting and Shaggy on Tiny Desk!
❤️
I definitely know what the commonality between Toots and Willie - WEED - and a lot of it! ... And they do a great job together on this collaboration.
Got to admit. Willie shines in this.

Let me guess, it was so thick you had to cut it with a WEEDwhacker! 😆

Toots and Willie Nelson. It's a wonderful world.
From One Toke Over The Line to this...muzzbe the Willie connection.
I love Toots & The Maytals and Willie Nelson, and yet...this just does not work.

Is this Willie's dealer? Maybe he couldn't pay for his dope, so he had to do this.

This should not work.
But somehow I'm finding it entertaining. I'm not even a big fan of either artist, but somehow, this is fun.

Answer; SBSW fest Wilie playing in a bar with a reggae band
Nice mellow reggae voice and then...no
Toots & Willie? No. Just no.
'Countryman' is a very fun album that Willie made a number of years ago too. Very fun to play jungle golf to. Gotta love Toots and gotta love Willie. I'm sure that they had fun in the studio!
If you think about the song, singers, phrasing, etc. I'm sure one can find lots of flaws.
If you listen to it as background music, it's perfect to me.

I love both these guys, but this not a good idea. Weed does make one a reggae singer.

This cracks me up, I like it. Willie is cool, but his phrasing seems way off, as does his gargling La La's... reggae is not really his gig. but I don't care, its still moving to me :)
In a similar vein, just as silly, just as incongruent, and just as fun, is one of the duets Willie did with Snoop Dog, Superman. Old guy is pretty cool.

Bill is blowing my mind today... This is somehow bizarre and awesome.
This right after the Happy Monday tune I'd not heard before either.

No. Just no on so many levels without need for explanation. Still that's Bill doin' his bill thing. I guess love it or leave it.

You have a point, but at least Willie tries without ego. And sometimes he tries again. Look at what he started out with music-wise. He changed directions and may live long enough to do so again.

Wow, unusual. One time I had an eggroll but no sweet-and-sour sauce for dipping so I used some yellow mustard. It was OK but the flavors were just not made for each other. This song strikes me that same way.

Can't imagine...
I'm from Texas and I can remember when Willie didn't have 1,000 wrinkles and had a short crew cut singing his very first hit, "Hello Walls".
To this day no one can screw-up the vocal smoothness of a song like Willlie Nelson.
I put Willie and Neil Young in the self-same, "Can someone buy me some voice lessons?" category.

Wow. Talk about combining the worst of both worlds. I've commented on how I had to reduce the number of 10 ratings I give because it leaves nothing extra for true "perfection." By inverse reasoning, I rate this a 2, since it is possible something worse could come along.

Okay, just make sure don't until you're into your second ton.
Really nice happy tune and Willy's just a smooth companion to Toots
I think it's Willie's phrasing that makes this song. Remember, it's Toots (who I love) that covered Willie's song.
is there anyone Willie HASN'T done a song with?

Toots liked this song of Willie's and though its a bit of a "stoned" thought or idea who can blame him? I think its great.
It needs more cowbell.

I can always leave work early today, so I can turn it off.
Just because you smoke a ton of weed doesn\'t mean you should sing reggae songs.
take out the Willy!
Toots might as well have asked Bill Shatner to do a duet on this CD.
It\'s official... when I now hear Willie\'s voice, which has somehow gotten more refined over the years, in a song I haven\'t heard 30 times, I cringe with fear.
This song confirms my fears.

Yep, I'll second that - it's like chalk and cheese. A good number otherwise.
It sounds like willie's voice was put through some kind of robot synth and it was just crudely slapped on top of the song.
