Why you and I
Will by and by
Know true love ways
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why
Just you and I
Know true love ways
Throughout the days
Our true love ways
Will bring us joys to share
With those who really care
Sometimes we'll sigh
Sometimes we'll cry
And we'll know why

I know it’s Buddy Holly, but… we don’t need this.
Huh?
A beauty from maybe the best of the 50s rock and roll originals.
I could see some show using this in a scene. Better Call Saul comes to mind though it's ended its run
Lol, came to suggest this would have been good in Mad Men and see my earlier comment
As to 'who chose this sappy arrangement' I highly recommend viewing
The Buddy Holly Story starring Gary Busey. Your question will be answered.
Truly great film, Gary and The Crickets just nail it.

the bass player in the movie is a cousin of mine. Charles Martin Smith. Creative family . . , his dad and uncles were animators (Peanuts, Woody Woodpecker, Gulliver's Travels etc)
Not exactly rock and roll, from one of the father's of same. Who chose this sappy arrangement? Still, it's a nice tune, and quite similar to a lot of other pop and movie tracks of that era which, alas, is quickly becoming ancient.

We? Speak for yourself.
You're right remember this is where Rock and Roll came from and he died at the age of 22 . In his prime. along with other amazing artists

You have a choice. (and)
I'm sorry but his music has already been published.

Man, personally, I dig hearing the arrangements that were considered the "norm" back in that day...the strings in this are so fun...even if they are sappy...
very sweet
EdmoJoe, I second that comment wholeheartedly....BTW I spent a week in Banff this June...great country you have there....
holy crap!! this has been sitting idle for 3 years now. please play it.
We were guests and there was not a dry eye in the house at the end of it.
