Tell that to Neil Young and the rest of his opportunistic ilk living here on visas and sucking money while pissing and moaning about the U.S.. I haven't seen waves of folks crowding the flight terminals hustling to those utopias like China or even France (except Johnny Depp - France can have him)

there are plenty of countries on earth with REAL issues that no one bashes for some reason.

i know it's pc to bash america for anything and everything right now, i mean you're at least three rungs up on the "hipster ladder" for doing what everyone else does. but i live in america, and can tell you that the economy is doing just fine, i have a decent paying job, as does the rest of my family and anyone else who works to get somewhere in life in the usa. there are plenty of countries on earth with REAL issues that noone bashes for some reason...have you begun your chinese lessons?
I spent 2.5 months motorcycling across China and back in the summer of 2006. I was blown away by the power of their numbers and what they can accomplish. I am reading a book called China, Inc right now which is also blowing me away. As they enable capitalism and leverage their 1.6 BILLION residents, they are unquestionably the up-and-coming nation of the moment. I live in supposedly recession-proof Seattle and have watched as no fewer than 10 of my friends have been laid off in the past 2 months. I love my country and my city. I don't want to see America slip from its current position as the most powerful country, I just find that little unsettling. But if you think our country is doing just fine and that China isn't poised to take over, you've got your head buried in the sand. Edit: oh jeez, I just realized that Kregg posted in 2006. Please make it stop!

exactly. the muzak they play to hurry you out of the booths.
You know, I'm not usually one to make ethnic generalities, particularly when it comes to music. But I gotta tell ya, this is a LOT like the "muzak" you hear in many generic Chinese restaurants.

Maybe I'm going crazy, but am I the only one who hears the same tune as "Oh, Christmas Tree"??

First time I've heard this. Different, but pleasant enough. Willing to give it another listen. However what is unfortnate is the level of the comments. I suppose racial stereotypes die hard. But the Chinese are a lot more than wonton soup, my American listeners. Given the way the Chinese economy is growing, and yours is tanking, I'd start learning Chinese if I were you.
Sounds like greek meets east.

A little too much joy and happiness coming from my speakers with this one - kind of craps out the mellow, dark alternative music mood (my brand of happiness) that RP has been building for me all day!
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Please put this one a in a box. And bury it. Deep.
I apprciate the multi-cultural diveristy of RP, but so sorry!
GUACATELA
WTF?!!

Delivery...
Interesting. More world music is always welcome.
Waiter, there's a fly in my wonton soup
Makes for a nice change of pace.
sort of cheery, isn't it?
For some reason, I am loving this!
Here's hoping this song has a "Happy Ending" LOL!!!
Crappy song, but it reminds me of my trip to China. So, a 6.

THAT's what that Cong captain was yelling at Deniro...Kung Pao! Kung Pao!...
this is a joke, right?
That's a little silly, but good times.
I don't know if I should like this or not. It sounds interesting but it doesn't catch me.
I'll have the kung pao chicken, please.
This sounds like a mixture of Mikis Theodorakis (traditional greek music), traditional chinese music and Cirque du Soleil. Quite fascinating.
Anyway, the song was just OK in my opinion (I gave it a 6), but it did serve as an interesting springboard for other discussion . . .
