I fear, I fear I've gone too far
Yes, I fear I've led you astray
From way back when
Now I feel you again yesterday
And I hope, I hope, I do, I pray
I'm still headed to worlds where I
Intended to be when I could see
With way clearer eyes
'Cause this big, wide, open crazy world
Can get you downhearted
And wondering where you stand or fall
Wondering why try at all
Well, I say stay on, stay on, steady now
Stay on, stay, don't you stray
Stay on, stay on, steady now
Don't you stray
I know, I know this time goes by
With a bleary blink of an eye
But I see, I do, for me and you
Living ends coming true
This big wide, open, crazy world
Can get you downhearted
And wondering where you stand or fall
Wondering why try at all
Stay on, stay on, steady now
Stay on, stay on, don't you stray
Stay on, stay on, steady now
Don't you stray
Don't you stray
Yes, I fear I've led you astray
From way back when
Now I feel you again yesterday
And I hope, I hope, I do, I pray
I'm still headed to worlds where I
Intended to be when I could see

Stay on, stay on, don't you stray
Stay on, stay on, steady now
Don't you stray
Don't you stray

Generic and immediately forgettable.

Wow! This is dull! And repetitive. Really don't understand why the rating is so high.
And is it me or does the album look incredibly similar in motif to Daneil Lanois's Beauty of Wynona...

Or maybe it's just me.
Do you like Buddy Holly?

I think they copped that opening guitar riff from an old Led Zeppelin tune. Which one was it?? The Rain Song! That's the ticket.
Slight detection, but that may be a bit of a stretch... Sounds like the same open tuning though.
And thus, Bill follows with LZ's Travelling Riverside Blues... Pehaps the same tuning??

Great song from a great band. In my opinion there isn't a throw away on this CD "Go Slow Down".

First Post! This is OK, but I'd prefer Idaho from this album.
I think "Idaho" is already in their library.
The BoDeans: incredibly under appreciated. So many solid albums. Rarely a bad song.
A wonderful roots band in their day - they played with heart. A good band in concert as well.
But that was back in the day, as they say. This shoulda been left in the studio.
