Lyrics:

Mademoiselle, voulez-vous danser?
Take my hand, don't turn away
You've been sitting there all night long
I know that something must be wrong

Mademoiselle, voulez-vous danser?
A new moon has come out to play
Take my hand and step outside
These doors and windows open wide

The stars are out and shining
Hear the south wind sighing, it'll be okay
Let the breeze caress you, violin undress your heart
On va danser

Mademoiselle, voulez-vous danser?
It soon be the break of day
We all have so little time
Oh, won't you put your hand in mine?

The stars are out and shining
Hear the south wind sighing, it'll be okay
Let the breeze caress you, violin undress your heart
On va danser

Mademoiselle, voulez-vous danser?
A new moon has come out to play
Mademoiselle, voulez-vous danser
It soon be the break of day
On va danser

Danser

We all have so little time
normally feel he's 'probably better live' but this is a great little number

barf...I hate JB. Parrots, margaritas...drunken lawyers.

Bocephus; How about you and I get together say Reno NV and have a drink together and see if we have any common interests.  {#Biggrin}
I find this quite pleasant....Jimmy has aged nicely, like a fine wine.  IMHO.
Scratch Morcheeba, THIS reminds me of my yearly vacations to the Florida Keys {#Cool}

I consider myself a moderate "Parrothead" so the occasional JB on RP is nice.  If you want a JB heavy playlist check out Radio Margaritaville, playlist is like 50% Jimmy !

Not a parrothead, wife is and I sometimes get tired of hearing him but certainly out of the vast amount of songs there are quite a few that are equal to the RP task, and the Coral Reefers are pretty damn good band, just don't tell my wife I said so.

I think it is great that you play Jimmy once in while.  I for one wish you would do it more.  I beleive he fits into this stations free spirited style just fine.

Could be worse.

It's not The Mavericks - Dance the Night Away

Having them follow this song in the playlist would be excruciating.

Bill,

Mademoiselle (Buffett's) followed by Dance the night Away (The Mavericks'). You gest. Heh! Heh! Heh!
This is exactly how I like Jimmy Buffet: On the Far Side of the World, joining us only for the briefest of visits.
Thank you, Mr. DJ!

Awesome!!! This is one of my Jimmy faves! Thanks for playing it. {#Group-hug}
This is what radio once did and this station still does: find and play the good stuff that bobs among the flotsam.

At least he hasn't been singing about his vast veranda.....

I agree 100%! The only difference between you and me is that I have all of Jimmy's CD's!!!
Jimmy can do no wrong in my book

So is "Floriday" - beautiful song about a place in peril from developers.
at the end of the day, it's still jimmy boo-fay.
Had to downwardly adjust this from a 2.
Lennie Gallant (the artist who originally wrote this song) has also released an entirely French language version of this song on his CD \"Le Vent Boheme\".

This is a great track, and I can't wait to see a Jimmy show - he's a showman of the highest quality from what I've heard. His novels aren't half bad either.
I've seen Jimmy at least ten times. From what I can remember (lots of tequila), fantastic showman! Love his novels as well, especially his collection of short stories, Tales from Margaritaville.
I love this...perhaps it's the French.... Nice one from Buffett.

Psychic freakout- the entire Morcheeba song I was thinking "I dare you follow this with Buffet, Bill." Sweet!
VERY happy to hear Jimmy on RP. I'll admit he's put out some stinkers, but he really does have a deep and rich catalog. Excellent track.
Dig this song...new Buffet fan and liked the CD - perfect for work environment.

I tend to really like Buffet's ballads and some of the novelty stuff makes me smile, but I don't care if I ever hear Margaritaville again in my life. I liked this one very much. Thanks for the wonderful variety!
the Bare Naked Ladies use to do a live version of Margaritaville - Marijuanaville. Quite humourous.
Great song - I like Jimmy's version, written by a fellow Atlantic Canadian by the name of Lennie Gallant, originally on his 1994 CD "Open Window"
I'll echo the sentiments of the previous posters; I can't believe this is Jimmy B. Very nice.

My thoughts exactly...I actually like this! If it weren't for RP, I'd still think he was all Cheeseburger and Margarita...
Absolutely. I wouldn't have thought I could like one of his songs. Very nice! No matter how many stations I listen to, I always find the best music at RP.

Nice to hear something other than "Cheeseburger", although I like most all Jimmy Buffett songs, I have never heard this one! Wonderful. All the more reason to keep listening! Now play some other Buffett please.....

I'm a die-hard "Parrot Head", but I really love the Buffett tunes that I will never hear on commercial radio, or in one of his concerts. With somewhere around 40 albums...there is a lot to choose from. Maybe it's time to upload a "Coast of Marsailles", or Club Trini tune?
This is why RP is one of my favorite stations on the Net -- you find good songs by artists whom I normally pan because most of the music that commercial radio features for them is all the same. RP has peaked my interest similarly in the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, etc, etc. Way to go guys!!
:D My first upload! Thanks, Bill.
First I've seen him on the playlist and I was away from the desk and missed it. Damn!! I'll always have a soft spot Jimmy. Reminds me of my youth and now that I've been Sailing in the Caribbean listening to Buffett... Every song takes me back to the boat. :sunny.gif: Love it!! Please play some more. One particular harbor would be sweeeet.
