I wanna give it to you
There ain't a thing... oh, you can do darlin'
I wanna give it to you
I said... I'm gonna give it to you
I said... I'm gonna give it to you
Oh, now when I... turn around baby
So slow and patiently
Oh, my thoughts fly straight to you darlin'... and cry out helplessly
They say... you need to be with me
They say... you need to be with me
Oh, they say... you need to be with me
Oh... you need to be with me
Now you know I need you baby
Oh, how I've got to make you see
That there's no other for you
You need to... you need to... you need to be with me
Oh, I stepped from plane to plane
So slow and cautiously
With all the stars about my head now... below my feet the sea
I say... you need to be with me
I say... you need to be with me
Oh, I say... you need to be with me
Oh, you need to... you need to... you need to...
Oh, come on and be with me...
Ohhhhhhhhhh...You need to be with me
I said... come on and be with me
Oh, you need to be with me
I said... you need to be with me
Call 911.
did it again
now lets see if they play one together
( a short time later)...
...nope, they went with Los Lobos
Same here ... and the spooky thing is that I was thinking of Susan Tedeschi, and exactly this song ... and they played it ... darn!

Or perhaps too inspired. She sure can sing, but she sounds more like a copy of Bonnie Raitt to name one example.
I had great hopes for the album she put out with Derek Trucks, but every song, no every line she uses the same ad libs over and over till the point i literally pulled out my earphones.
No, not for me...
The ultimate show is Susan Tedeschi and her husband Derek Trucks, I shot them at Denver's Mile High Music Festival, you can see photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/gonzoshots/4901110941/in/set-72157624621183189
Nice photos, thanks!

Excellant Mr. Cooper!
Thank you
Maybe so people like me, who have never heard of Susan Tedeschi, can not only be introduced to her, but also thoroughly enjoy the song--as I did this one.
Miss you so much, Cynaera...
love this song... Derek Trucks is a lucky man...
Yea, she opened for BB King and Buddy Guy in Kansas City and was great. Was around 2000 IIRC.
Saw her about 10 years ago opening for Buddy Guy and BB King. She held her own and I have liked her since.
Glad to see her stuff on RP not only with her hubby.
Don't hurt me.
I am with you. One of very few artists on RP that I absolutely cannot stand. Why does every one of her songs have to have an extended OOOOOHHHHHHHH?

Like Bonny Raitt?
Methinks they fit together quite well. Considering that she was "only" 28 at the time of this song, she 's not bad compared to the soul artists I put her against. Haven't heard her lately, though.
Don't hurt me.

Susan Tedeschi - "Little By Little" Live Rhode Island (2007)
Rhythm & Roots Festival. Charlestown, Rhode Island 9/1/07
Todd Smallie — Bass & vocals
Yonrico Scott — Drums, percussion, & vocals
Kofi Burbridge — Keyboards, flute & vocals
Ron Holloway - Tenor saxophone
No question she sounds like Bonnie, but that's OK.
Talented, but it still sounds like the over-40's band at the county fair. Nothing unusual.
Couldn't agree more and I'm the generation that sound appreciate this...blah!
"It's called "Wait For Me" from the album with the same name. The song is written by Felix Reyes (She says so at the end). If you like this song, you might like Ray Charles' "Drown In My Own Tears". 95% of the chord changes are the same. " YossieT
"Dang! Susan where you been all my life? I just bought every CD that Amazon had of your music! You rock girl! "
"Amazing!"
Yippy!! I like the wholesome neighbor girl, lets invite her over for a cup of tea. We are new to the neighborhood and I'd like to get to know her. Maybe she'll bring her guitar and play a song or two. Crotchety neighbor guy says she plays ancient music for old people but other neighbors say she is awesome and fantastic and I tend to side with those neighbors.
......and wholesome neighbour girl could bring wholesome neighbour girl's husband, one Mr Derek Trucks, along too and what an awesome back yard gig that would be.
.....Husband?.......sure...he can come too.
oops sadder but wiser girl for me. You can have those clean neighborhood girls
I care... I've never heard it or of her. I like it
I second that. First time and I like it!
Dead on.
Talented but who cares if you're going to play this ancient music for old people?
I think I've heard this song a thousand times before.
