When my love... comes down baby
I wanna give it to you
There ain't a thing... oh, you can do darlin'
I wanna give it to you
I said... I'm gonna give it to you
I said... I'm gonna give it to you

Oh, now when I... turn around baby
So slow and patiently
Oh, my thoughts fly straight to you darlin'... and cry out helplessly
They say... you need to be with me
They say... you need to be with me
Oh, they say... you need to be with me
Oh... you need to be with me

Now you know I need you baby
Oh, how I've got to make you see
That there's no other for you
You need to... you need to... you need to be with me

Oh, I stepped from plane to plane
So slow and cautiously
With all the stars about my head now... below my feet the sea
I say... you need to be with me
I say... you need to be with me
Oh, I say... you need to be with me
Oh, you need to... you need to... you need to...
Oh, come on and be with me...
Ohhhhhhhhhh...You need to be with me
I said... come on and be with me
Oh, you need to be with me
I said... you need to be with me

MELLOW Mix? Okay, then. /M.
Nice sequel from Derek Trucks to Susan Tedeschi. They're coming to San Diego for a Mother's Day concert. Mrs Squid knew about Trucks but she's catching on to Tedeschi. I just found out my neighbor has tickets too. Really looking forward to this.

Very nice. I did totally think I was listening to Bonnie Raitt though until I checked.
Susan T is awesome

"Rock Me Right" sends bolts of lightning down my spine. This, however, is just the standard Bonnie Raitt treatment.
This one's OK, nothing more.  If you want to hear what kind of music she's capable of, listen to "Rock Me Right" from the same album.

Or perhaps too inspired. She sure can sing, but she sounds more like a copy of Bonnie Raitt to name one example.

I had great hopes for the album she put out with Derek Trucks, but every song, no every line she uses the same ad libs over and over till the point i literally pulled out my earphones.

No, not for me...

Maybe so people like me, who have never heard of Susan Tedeschi, can not only be introduced to her, but also thoroughly enjoy the song--as I did this one.

Yea, she opened for BB King and Buddy Guy in Kansas City and was great.  Was around 2000 IIRC.

Saw her about 10 years ago opening for Buddy Guy and BB King.  She held her own and I have liked her since.

Glad to see her stuff on RP not only with her hubby.

I am with you.  One of very few artists on RP that I absolutely cannot stand.  Why does every one of her songs have to have an extended OOOOOHHHHHHHH?

Methinks they fit together quite well. Considering that she was "only" 28 at the time of this song, she 's not bad compared to the soul artists I put her against. Haven't heard her lately, though.

You tell 'em, sister!

How sweet..."You need to be with me"...homage to her husband...Derek Trucks.

"It's called "Wait For Me" from the album with the same name. The song is written by Felix Reyes (She says so at the end). If you like this song, you might like Ray Charles' "Drown In My Own Tears". 95% of the chord changes are the same. "     YossieT

"Dang! Susan where you been all my life? I just bought every CD that Amazon had of your music! You rock girl! "

"Susan is marvelous but this piano solo is incredible isn't ?  holy shit who is that on the keys? hes amazing."

AWESOME!!!  First CD I bought with her and love every tune on it...THANK YOU RP!!!!!{#Bananajam}
She sounded great on the (Clapton) 2007 Crossroads DVD.
Good toon also! She needs to sack her design company though
Mr and Mrs Trucks are something to see and hear ... wow!
Fat chance, honey. You might sing this song. . . .

Bonnie was plenty raunchy in her younger years.

Caught her at the Rhythm & Roots festival (Rhode Island) last summer. What a great performer! Highly recommended. I was very surprised how quiet her voice was between songs. She goes from those bold, screaming lyrics to the softest "thank you very much". Most endearing.
I think her guitar fell in a pile of 'Pooh'.
I saw her live in Austin a few year ago. She rocks!
Good song, but just a bit too repetitious for my tastes. I still love the feel of it and her voice though.
great tune composition, and i'm awed by the power of Tedeschi's voice. i wish RadioParadise would add another of her songs to the playlist: "Rock Me Right"--it's also fantastic.
she's right, I DO need to be with her.

Why oh why won't you play "It Hurt So Bad" by her? Her cover of that song just gives me the chills every time. No matter how many times I hear it.

Her voice reminded me of Bonnie Raitt. I'd love to hear more of her here...
I thought it was Bonnie too...upped my rating from a 7 to an 8
Ok song but kind of a rip off of Love & Happiness... Just my opinion
Doesn't do anything for me. Sorry.

Who does have Bonnie Raitt's talent? And does that make this song not worth listening to? This is good stuff. I liked the guitar solo, I like the vocals, good feeling to the song. I dig it.

I'll second that! Why don't we hear the Derek Trucks Band on RP? Talk about an eclectic sound!

Awesome tune! Susan rocks. Going to see her this saturday. Can't wait.
Dunno if any of y'all caught her on Austin City Limits, but she rocked. Not only a great voice, but a respectable guitarist as well. Special bonus, she's playing the ACL Music Fest at the end of this month. Can't wait! Likeable tune, though far from her best.
Good at continuing the depressive mood you established with earlier songs. If being made depressed is what one wants, that is excellent. But I hope you pick up the pace soon!
i suppose there is nothing wrong with this, but it is incredibly predictable down to the sustain on her vocals for extra emotional "effect". feels a little forced.
not my cup of tea but nice

Sounds like a student of Bonnie Raitt - and that's a good thing.
It's about time you played Miss T. More, please. She quotes Emily Dickenson in this song, for both of you that didn't already know that.
Just my absolute favorite Tedeschi song. The version she did live on World Cafe with just an acoustic guitar is especially choice.
ST is one of my favorite new blues artist and this is one of her best. If you play more, that's cool! Very tasty
