I didn't hear you say you're sorry
The fault must be mine
I wish you all the best of luck at
Finding somebody more like you
You said you'd love me always, truly
I must have changed
Cause you don't need me like you used to
I hope you find somebody more like you
I hope you finally find someone
Someone that you trust
And give him everything
I hope you meet someone your height
So you can see eye-to-eye
With someone as small as you
You came out of nowhere, made me smile
Then tore me in two
Saying, "We're very different people", So dear
I hope you find somebody more like you
I hope you find somebody more like you
The fault must be mine
I wish you all the best of luck at
Finding somebody more like you
You said you'd love me always, truly
I must have changed
Cause you don't need me like you used to
I hope you find somebody more like you
I hope you finally find someone
Someone that you trust
And give him everything
I hope you meet someone your height
So you can see eye-to-eye
With someone as small as you
You came out of nowhere, made me smile
Then tore me in two
Saying, "We're very different people", So dear
I hope you find somebody more like you
I hope you find somebody more like you

Please... play more Bluegrass-inspired Americana like this! The world needs to hear it...
Bumping this to an 8. Great song.

I thought it was Ben Folds at first. Kind of fits his vibe, too.
I like BF and NC both.

Awful. Sounds like Ben Folds forgot to take his happy pills.

I like this. Short and very sweet.
Saw Nickle Creek open for Lyle Lovett in 1998 when they were all fresh faced 18 year olds and they were brilliant.
Awful. Sounds like Ben Folds forgot to take his happy pills.
Masterpiece. A perfect gem of a song, all clocking in under three minutes.
This song came via PSD - score!!
Would love to see it get more regular air time - last play was 6+ years ago :(

I like this!
i love this song...i find it amusing, and i love the instrumentation. but then, i love all of nickel creek's instrumentation.
I believe they have officially disbanded for now. Caught them in concert 09-07 with special guest Fiona Apple. What a magical evening.
Saw them live at a small venue on Halloween.
Good stuff!
any ideas where the guys/gal are at now?
They played their last concert in Lexington during the RP meetup a couple of weeks ago, and a bunch of us went to the show.
It was the first time I had seen them live. They were amazing.
I hope they get back together some day.
If you like this do yourself a favor. Check out the band The Greencards. Nickel Creek is good but the Cards are better!!!
I agree completely. Dude's voice is a bit too shrill and punkish for the tasty acoustic goodness they create.

how's this album? i have two others that i really like.
chris thile is on his OWN now, though... check him out. amazing musician!
excellent musicians. Too busy listening to music to really listen to lyrics. Deserves better than 6.8!
Big whiner.
Love this song!
Who let these guys in on my divorce?

I have loved Nickel Creek forever. All thier lyrics are fantastic, the guitar and violin is amazing, they have fantastic vocals, and i dont know but i can choreograph a dance to anything they do.
Thanks!!!
most excellent bill - if you follow this set with gustavo santaolalla/de usuahia a la quiaca i'll make a second donation this month.
heck...i'll do it anyway.

Yeah, they're great live. The covers they do, especially (don't get me wrong--I really like their original material). I saw them do a great version of "Subterranean Homesick Blues" once and another time they meddleyed a bunch of brief little fragments, including a killer mandolin-led "Where It's At" (sans turntables).
Saw them cover "The Weight" and "Short People." And Chris Thile do a Bach piece written for violin on his mandolin.
Man, I love Nickel Creek. And I love Radio Paradise.
Seriously, I think Bill has access to my own iPod and plays random selections. That's four songs in a row from some of my favorite people.
Thanks for being so damn cool.
I was thinking Song for the Dumped by Ben Folds Five minus a piano.
And then Old Apartment by Bare Naked Ladies without all the happiness of loss and big hair sound.
or I loved you, So What by Ani Difranco, not the cd version, but rather the very raw uncut idiot people talking over the live show. They claim to love her so much, why don't they just shut up and let her play?
But this song... it just slides across almost like it could be about anything...such even tones hide the anger that comes out just around "someone your height so you could see eye to eye" making a brief yes, you hurt me and i am mad and sad moment before hiding in the playful skirts of cute lyrics. Fun.
very guster-ish
the best bitter breakup song ever!
Whenever this comes on I always think "This sounds great. I wonder who it is?" and then when the vocals start I'm always shocked that it's Nickel Creek. It's so unexpected and different from their "Nickel Creek" CD. They stuck their necks out with "This Side" and tried something outside their comfort zone. Unfortunately that one fell flat and didn't work for me at all, but this one made it across the gap. I love it when a band takes a chance and comes up with something fresh like this, and I think they've done well with this one. It probably disappoints fans that can't hear outside the bluegrass box, but I hope they keep going in this direction.
a banal band
They almost lost me at the lyric
"I hope you meet someone your height
so you can see eye to eye"
But it was saved with
"...with someone as small as you"
As someone who likes to harmonize along with tunes, Nickel Creek always pleases.
RP turned me on to this band. Just bought the CD. It is very, very good. Highly recommend this album. This group does a great job of combining rock n'roll with bluegrass. Kind of like the Dead did 35 years ago. Oops! Age is showing through again.
odd, I thought this was a a guster song I didn't know, then I looked up to my suprise and see nickel creek! Don't get me wrong, I love it!

I know I like this group. Thanks for the change from Ray LaMontagne. Your eclecticism is what keeps so many of us coming back! The lyrics are both intelligent and intelligible, and there seems to be a melody. Wow, now they have even added in some *violin*--my favorite instrument--and well done, too! Yay!
Barf city.
This is nice.
But I'll always associate Nickel Creek with the Napster of yore. They were a "Napster Discovery" for me.
Not sure about the lyrics tho.
I saw them live, and was transfixed. They're a wonderful reminder to our generation that music is a language that is more complex than the written word.
I second Paleone. After searching and searching I finally chose RP as my favorite station on the 'net.
I've only heard a few of this band's songs (all on RP) and this is the first one that I like!
Probably the best song they've ever done, as opposed to showing their instrumental talent. Me likey.
i love it,, cant wait to get to the cd store!!
I love these guys, and can't wait to purchase the new CD!!
These kids get more awesome as they go
First, I can't believe there aren't more comments for this song. Second, I've heard this one a couple of times in the past couple of days and at least once before, maybe a couple of weeks before. Each time it has struck me as quite engaging, which makes me think it has a special quality and my pleasure in hearing it is not just a matter of happy coincidence of timing and mood.
It also makes me think there's a benefit to be derived from a certain amount of repetition in a play list, so listeners get an opportunity to develop an appreciation, particularly, of music which is new to them. IMHO, Bill does a great job of balancing this benefit against the potential detriment, of becoming tired of something heard too frequently.
I was thinking of comments I've read on occasion, from various listeners in reaction to songs they particularly dislike, suggesting certain artists or songs are overplayed. I think it helps to listen to a variety of sources of music, rather than becoming too dependent on just one, even if it's as good as Radio Paradise. This being an interactive experience, it's enhanced, I believe, by the listener's exercising some selective listening, in addition to taking advantage of the opportunity to comment on the DJ's choices. When you come right down to it, everyone's responsible for his or her own...listening pleasure.
That being said, I haven't found a better online station. And, I enjoy reading the other listeners'comments. So, thanks RP, and listeners.
ahhhh! New Nickel Creek CD??? I had no idea!
*runs off to iTunes*
(Edit: not on iTunes)
