I definitely hear AiC and some Eels.
Sounds like Eels meet Alice in Chains, which I like very much. And they're from San Francisco, my favorite city.

Late bloomer cuz è allucinante.
Cool! You're playing this song. I've never heard it on here before. Intriguing. Like the Byrds' Triad :)
nasily like jars
I like the use of some backwards masking on this recording. I'll be Adam, the two of you pl Eve as in plural I guess.

Ok....enough is enough.
It's friday afternoon...it's Summer (which is rapidly fleeting).
Please quit playing this "muzak" stuff and play some RnR!
You remember RnR, don't cha?

Put this on my X-mas wish list. Santa came through! Thank you, Radio Paradise, for introducing excellent music such as this.

Porcupine Tree.
Nice acoustic guitar/s ...
not sure...kinda like it tho ok...7. The sexy beat grows on you.
Its good, agreed, but could he not have asked his uncle to get out of the way of the picture as it was going on the album cover?
Nice. Will investigate Luce back catelogue.
Bought the album. All of them, actually :D
Kewl, never heard of em, will have to check these guys out some more!

Diggin' on the mood in this one.
I don't know if it's the full moon mood, kind of blue, but this song is growing on me. With pleasure. Bring him in
Nice cover art!
I like this and I've never heard this band before.
Thanks for always turning me on to great new music (and I am a radio DJ).

I think he sounds like "Vast" but that's just my frame of reference speaking. Make nothing of it.
Once again RP introduces me to music I will likely head to iTunes and buy. Thanks B&R!
*edit* - He sounds like Crowded House but I like his material better.
First time hearing this, and I really like it.
Had to stop and look to see who this was.
Good, good stuff - once again, another band I would probably have never come across without RP
Saw them in San Fran. Awesome band - play more Luce!!!
How bout adding a few more tunes to the library from these guys Bill.
Rejected: Luce - Buy a Dog
Rejected: Luce - Fortunately, I
Rejected: Luce - From the World of the Lonely
Rejected: Luce - Good Day
Rejected: Luce - Here
Rejected: Luce - In the Middle There
Rejected: Luce - Life
Rejected: Luce - The Sweetest Smile
Yikes....and those are some pretty solid Luce songs.
If John Lennon was still around he'd sound like this.
Is that Bill in the background of the album cover?

Catchy. Yummy. Another iTunes purchase, if I can find it.

beginning of this made me want to hear Tragically Hip "Grace, Too" - haven't heard any Hip here in while...
Patty Griffin meets... Porcupine Tree??
A very long time ago one of the (former?) guitar players in Luce, Matt Blackett & I played in a band together- albeit briefly. He was a monster guitarist even when he was in High School.
pretty darn good song
Vast but not quite so dark.
Boy, the opening of this reminded me of "December Skies" by the Cowboy Junkies. So all through the song, I just kept thinking that had to be the next song. And Bill did just follow it up with the Cowboy Junkies!
Bill, you're amazing. But you've gotta try "December Skies".
Cool. Kind of reminds me of Depeche Mode.
You arer all dirty, dirty people. Humping each other like that!!!
But, you have a superlative groove. I must say.
unique style...too good
8->9
spatial and fun :D
I think I need to get this cd out again...

Heh, a song about a potential menage a trois.
I dig it...nice groove.
Somewhere between Beck and VAST to my ears.
Definitely an enjoyable song.
trippin!
Me too!
"better" might be an overstatement. Beck's body of work makes him quite the formidable musician. I'd have to listen to a lot more of this Luce dude to make that call.

Yessss....This is it :)

It is music like this that makes me wish the volume on my headphones went to 11.
Very cool!!
What a Arnolfini Wedding type cover. Hmmm.
trippy!
From their website:
5/19/2006: With great regret, LUCE is forced to postpone its show tonight at The Saint because their van, trailer and all instruments were stolen from the hotel parking lot in Philadelphia this morning. LUCE does plan on continuing the tour Saturday in Boston.
4/29/2006: On friday night 4/28 a large 3 alarm fire broke out in Hayes Valley next to the residence of Tom Luce. The fire caused an extensive amount of damage to his home, while the entire upstairs residence was a complete loss. Tom is doing fine and everyone got out of their homes safely, including Jet his dog and Nemo the cat, who was found hiding safe and sound, once the smoke had cleared.
Talk about your bad month. Too bad, this is such a feel good/be happy band. Check out their other tunes, you'll like them
Lovin' this...mmmmm, Jerry may be there?...
Is that the ghost of Jerry in the background? Not sure I hear any Dead similarities...
Decent tune anyway.
simple, but rather tasty

Score! (I'm the one who uploaded this song on LRC). Thank you for adding this song to the channel, as I like it so much. I'm shocked this is the first Luce song to get added to RP.
That is surprising. I got two of their songs, "Pretty Good Day" and "Long Way Down" after I saw them open for Sixpence here in Blacksburg a couple years ago. Both of those would be good for RP.
Mind numbing, 2 chord progression that never leaves the Aeolian mode. Obnoxious...
Sounds like they are hung up on Alice in Chains and the '90s. . . And this CD is from 2002! . Blah.
Thanks for uploading this. I've never heard of this person/band before. This is a pretty good song.

i thought CSNY or Crosby did Triad?
anyway, i'm agreeing with the comments - late STP or EELS + AiC. anyway, i like this a lot. would like to hear it more often.
