There are not many posr-rock songs (with English vocals) that evoke nostalgic, emotional thoughts about someone special. And yet, I always find myself singing along by halfway through, right back in the present moment, enjoying the song in both moments at once.

I remember Snow Patrol when I went to a concert of U2 back in 2009 at Zagreb and Snow Patrol were there as pre-show. I remember giant stage of U2, light warm breeze when I entered the stadium and Snow Patrol just playing this song. What a feeling it was. A great memory of a great day.
Begins like one of my favorites by The Ocean Blue, which is awesome on a bright Christmas morning, and hey, I love this song a lot, too!

That said, Snow job Patrol offered little to begin with...
Agreed in part my friend, but as a band they have actually worked very hard for well over 10 years. The advent of their 'big break', while shunting them down the route of 'over exposed commercials' and American TV shows, does make it difficult sometimes to stand back and remain impartial to all the 'hype'. They work hard and are very serious about the music they create. I actually listened to this album for the first time EVER last weekend and was very surprised at how good an album it is.......you have to hand it to a band (ok, ok their label and management) when the first 6 tracks have all hit the top 10 in the charts (UK & Ireland anyway). That doesn't happen to too many artists........

I've said it before and I'll say it again - there is no such thing as over-played. You are in control of your own exposure to media. Even more so in the days of digital music.

Overplayed here on double time because the group will be in concert very soon. Shame, because it's not a bad song. How many good songs (and the careers of good performers) have to die from overexposure because of a lack of restraint by our media outlets?

This is a great, and in some cities, overplayed song. I have heard in on a tv show and it was the perfect compliment to the emotional moment.

I hear this all the time on XM (no, I can't listen to Radioparadise all the time). I still like it, but I can foresee overdosing. But then again, my youngest, he's 14 and doesn't live with me anymore (how could I tell him that staying in Phoenix is better than Paris?)-he likes Snow Patrol. So I listen and know my kiddie likes this too.
