Now always, i wait for you
To take this pale opaque
And let some light go through
Kicked the life from me
Left a headless drum
Crushed the rabbit cage
Of my skeleton

Overload on 'let's get lost'
Scratched your farewell couplet
In my window frost
Kicked the life from me
And none better comes
Till one better comes
There goes the sun

Hope there's love where you may land
Let this frost heave open up
And take me in
Kick this life from me
Till one better comes
Till one better comes
There goes the sun

That rhythm section is tight, especially the drummer. Like clockwork but in a flattering way.
Joe Pernice and his mates: elegant, breezy, melodic tunes. Great act.

I like guacamole.  My telephone didn't ring.
Oh yeah. Good tune.
Bump. 6 > 7.  Poppy thoughtfulness.
Great band.  Saw them at a tiny club in Atlanta after eating a guac cheeseburger in the restaurant part of the club.  Yum!

Not me, I will be living on the third rock from Proxima Centauri watching three suns rise and set sipping my pina colada

yeah i hate it when that happens
Anyone else hear the space cat at the end?

New band name, Space Cat.
"There goes the Sun" -  that's what we will be saying in about 5 billion years.
per-NEECE?  per-NICE?  PER-niss?
How is that pronounced?
Criminally under appreciated band.

Was sure that was Grandaddy when it kicked off.

New Order meets the Chantays (Pipeline).
Great song and underrated band. Does anyone remember the lead singers first band - Scud Mountain Boys? Good, but this is better.
Love it! Freshnessssss, even with age it is fresh again.

Good Day Sunshine?
Perhaps my favourite band.

Joe Pernice is a hidden gem. If you enjoyed this I highly recommend anything of theirs.

Nice selection, Bill.

i love the album cover.
something nice bouncy and fresh about this song, never heard it before
I thought just for a minute that it was Radiohead.
Hadn't heard this before. Would like to hear it again. Reminds me of some of my old 80s music.
I like it. . .

Great idea!  If you'll allow me to get technical about it, Here Comes the Sun should be played at 7:28 AM, while There Goes the Sun should be played at 5:27 PM. *

* Times may vary, depending on whether you're right here, and whether it's today.

Isn't it always "today"?  Good tune - this band always had good album covers too.

Great band. Also recommend:

is good
When it started up, I thought it was Jesus & Mary Chain - still pretty good, though.

From Cohen's The Future, to London Calling, to Lost Cause, to There Goes the Sun...what is this, the Apocolypse Set?

Clearly intended to be matched with "Here Comes the Sun" {#Roflol}
Never heard this before. Nice!
Agreed!

Love this song! First heard it on RP a few years ago. Thanks!

Another one of those songs that I know almost by heart... but hadn't ever looked at the playlist to see who it was. So tonight I'm on the site but not listening and see something I don't recognize on the playlist... start up the player and .... Ohhhh. Sure. I know this.

I do that a lot.

Anyway. 7.

Same here.

Exactly the same reaction for me... the song I know well, but the artist's name surprised me (i.e. I've never noticed it before, even though I've heard the song many times on RP... or at least enough for it to feel like an old friend).

This one´s a big EIGHT, what a tune! masterpiece..

this song reminds me why I hate regular radio. They would never play this! And it's GOOD!  Instead they play the same crap over and over again.

{#Whisper} Anger is a block, not an edge
The futuristic sound is what drew me in, a solid 8!
Saw these guys at the Dogfish Head Brewery in Rehoboth, Delaware a coupla years ago. They were quite good (as was the house made beer--and house made WHISKEY). As of now--there's only one Pernice in the band (the singer and songwriter), and they had this young kid who played guitar and keyboard and even bass, I think--and he was incredible. Great band, check out their catalog!
...just a little too innoffensive.
I rather liked this one. Made me think of some of the alternative music from the 80s I enjoy.
New Music to RP...liking it!
Rather haunting quality
This is not my style I guess. This song seems repetative and just Ho-Hum (not even really deserving of that rating IMHO).
Could there be a little sonic callback to VU\'s \"Who Loves the Sun?\" during the chorus?

Fabulous artists! Outstanding album.
Know what? I much prefer you to your sister, cat. That said, I wasn't as struck by this tune as you. It only scored in the pretty good range for me, but perhaps a second listen will change that.

I slipped off the hook after it caught me. OK song though. 11/23: 6 up to 7
Fabulous artists! Outstanding album. So, whoever you are . . . your upload made it into the main before mine, huh? Well, at least Pernice Brothers are on the RP map. Kudos! There weren't any Pernice Brothers listed as having been uploaded when I uploaded mine. Didn't know the new 3 from a single artist = instant reject rule when I first tried. Later, I went back and tried again. Check the LRC for more and give a listen. Pernice Brothers - Somerville reviewing 7/6 (54%) It's a nice tune and needs some thumbs up.
Thanx for the new music RP Love it!
Pernice Bros. are gods. "Yours Mine & Ours" is maybe the best cd of the decade.
