I stumbled on this album a few years ago.
Thanks for dusting it off! Great Slide Work...
I remember seeing him in a hole in the wall bar in San Francisco circa 88'.. Good times.
Great concert with Norton Buffalo (RIP) at the Nevada County Fairgrounds several summers ago...

For those who don't know, Roy was the slide guitarist behind John Lee Hooker for several years and produced a couple of his albums.
That was fun.
Channeling Elmore James!{#Bananajam}

Roy on RP!!! Yeah!!

    Now all we need is some Roy and Norton together!

BTW, it's more like Sonny listened to Roy, the latter being a Grammy-award winner.

Now there is some slide work. Wonder if he's listened to Sonny Landreth? I like this track — its rough in places, but that's ok for me. It was good for me ... was it good for you?

Love hearing Roy on RP, he is one of the masters of the slide guitar and this song does him no justice as to what he can really do. I love Sonny too but as far as Delta Blues nobody plays better than Roy he is a machinegun, that plays a hollowbody Gibson till smoke comes off the neck. If ya ever get the chance to see him in person do so you won't be dissapointed. I heard him and Norton Buffalo on the radio on a blues station in Dallas over 15 years ago doin' Shake Your Money Maker I think off the Chops Not Chaps album and went you have to be kidding tho on a later collaberation with Norton, a great harmonica player was somewhat let down  but hey they can't allways hit a homerun. Just googled Roy Rogers slide guitarist and there are several video's of him. I unfortunately am on dial-up so it takes forever but highly recommend ya ck them out. Oh and if it sounded ruff in places lol he wanted it to.

NOT MAKING UP FOR THAT TRIGGER INCIDENT, THOUGH....

Ted: <referring to the zipper incident> I never told you that.
Dom: Well Christ, Ted, I was only four towns away.
nothing else?

Roy on RP!!! Yeah!!
I'm not too much in slide-blues-guitar, but I know what it means to play bottle-neck. EXCELLENT!
