But you couldn't see me
Too many lights out
But nowhere near here
It was me on that road
Still you couldn't see me
And then flashlights and explosions
Roads are getting nearer
We cover distance but not together
I am the storm and I am the wonder
And the flashlights nightmares
And sudden explosions
I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish
It's about you and the sun
A morning run
The story of my maker
What I have and what I ache for
I've got a golden ear
I cut and I spear
And what else is there
Roads are getting nearer
We cover distance still not together
If I am the storm if I am the wonder
Will I have flashlights nightmares
And sudden explosion
There's no room where I can go and
You've got secrets too
I don't know what more to ask for
I was given just one wish
I LOVE the Trentemoller remix - this Youtube comment sums it up, "Isn't this awesome. Swedish singer featuring in a Norwegian band's song remixed by a Dane. A complete Scandi package."
Röyksopp - What Else Is There? (Trentemøller Remix) - YouTube
Yes it's good
Incredible vocalist! Totally compliments & contrasts the music.
i like it. reminds me of a mix of bjork and tukker (of sofi tukker) a little bit.
Sounds more like Bjork to me.NOT!
This is one of the reasons I like Radio Paradise so much. I mean it's not the greatest thing I've ever heard, but it's rather cool, and I'll bet they've got other stuff that I might find as cool or better. I'd've probably never heard of Röyksopp without RP -- So big thanks to you for all of your trolling of the seas of music, even if I don't like all of the critters you dredge up. It's so much tastier than what the rest of the music media world is presenting to my table :)
I LOVE the outro so much I wish it were a 20 minute track unto itself.
Other cool songs by Röyksopp: Pool Leno, Remind Me, Eple
Everyone is having a good time, and then comes Royksopp.
Were you roasting marshmellows?
Ah...thank God!
Following Billie Eilish, it's comforting to get back to another 15-year-old Northern European Synth-Pop tune where English is a second language.

Exactly what I was thinking!
love Fever Ray's voice, her own track Keep the Streets Empty For Me is class
Also her very haunting lyrics used on Vikings series.
So true! And the comment reminds me of a line in an episode of House, MD when he says something like "the philosopher Jäger said "You can't always get what you want"" (which Wilson figured out after a few seconds)
And today I upgraded my 4 to a 6 on this one; maybe next time I'll move it to the hallowed 7+ range....Long Live RP!!
7 to 8 today...
TDIL!

Call ME a norwegian squirrel!!! Lol I'd be on more than just the shirt!!!!
Got them by her voice.

REAL music on RP, but I'd fancy a little more of Royksopp-like tunes!

Excellent, my friend. Some songs get better with each hearing, and this is one of them.
2/21/14 update: While cleaning in the other room, could have sworn this was a more upbeat song from Fever Ray...
Second that, although I'm not cleaning…
This song ROCKS! and for whatever reason, brings the old days of RP back to me~
I so agree about the old logo -- so cool. no soul to the new one 😞
Don't mean to be picky, but just to clarify - Björk is from ICELAND, which is an island but it isn't, say, Ireland.
Hope That Helps
I apologize for the confusion, have answered in English and used the German expression for Björks Iceland (which is written: Island). You are right.
Greetings from German speaking part of Switzerland
The Icelandic name for Iceland is Island, "Is" meaning ice.
Ah, er, well, 'you learn something new every day'
I humbly apologise for my ignorance.

Near on the map? Radio Eriwan would answer: Im Prinzip Ja
Björk is from Island, Röyksopp from Norway, approx. 1000 Miles distance, so it depends, what horizon you have/use.

"Great song! Unusual voice!" (according to Google Translate).
I thought this was Bjork. Unusual voice, yes. Am trying to figure out how much I like the song.
I like it.

Whereas Swedish squirrels are good and noble and true? Is there some kind of cross-border squirrel rivalry going on between you Scandinavians?
And who puts the Up in Uppsala?

I feel the same way!! RP IS my musical soul-mate :D
Probably me...I should stop that, huh?

Probably because it's the same person singing.
You are right, I've just read the end of the post...

I'm sorry, I can't resist... I just hate when someone says "this meets that". Not only for music, but anything. Don't mean to be rude, but I'm probably being already! When Bjork meets Depeche Mode they'll probably just say Hi, what's up? and shake hands. This music is something else.
It is a bit more in depth than as you have placed it. In a matter of music it is a reference as if what if. What if Lennon never met McCartney. What if Gilmour never met Waters. What if Frey never met Henley. What if Bjork met the creative one of Depeche Mode.
This "perhaps" is what it would have sounded like. Some of us music lovers, at times just thinking of our own interest, hang on to the thought of "what if ". Since today is John Lennon's birthday, some wonder "what if".
The singer is a guest vocalist named Karin Dreijer Andersson (AKA Fever Ray). Sorry I can't help you with the pronunciations. :)
Throw in a bit of Deer Hoof to that mix.

Don't take things too literal, @ssh*le!
How's that for being rude?
She does remind me of Bjork. And Depress Mode. Combination? Why not.
That's gotta be the first time I've seen a "slow clap" comment for a song. Nice.
Ooohhh! I love this song! Thanks RP

Probably because it's the same singer. Pretty unmistakable voice...

Thank you for sharing. In my opinion the video perfectly matches the song. Parts of it are quite similar to the gloomy film that already played in my head while hearing this song.
I agree - the video reminded me of Fellini's film 8 1/2 during the opening few minutes where the man floats away.
