No one to talk to ....all by myself
No one to walk with.....I'm happy on the shelf
Ain't misbehavin'......savin' my love for you
I know for certain......the one I love
I'm through with flirtin'......it's just you that I've been thinkin' of
Ain't misbehavin'.......savin' my love for you
Like Jack Horner.....in that ole corner
Don't go nowhere.....what do I care?
Your kisses are worth waitin' for......believe me
I don't stay out late.......no where to go
I'm home about eight......just me and my radio
Ain't misbehavin'.......savin' my love for you
Like Jack Horner.....in that ole corner
Don't go nowhere.....what do I care?
Your kisses are worth waitin' for......believe me
I don't stay out late.......no where to go

RIP Leon. You will be missed.
Say him on SNL in the 70's. could not believe my eyes or ears. Been a fan ever since.
Awful
I'm sure he'd rather not be retired. I know we all wish him well. https://www.leonredbone.com/ and https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/leon-redbone-announces-retirement-new-third-man-compilation-20150519
Redbone always made my father smile.
And me too, still.
The works needs more Redbone.

Saw him in 75 or 76 when I was in college. It was a life-changing experience.

Actually, this song was first recorded in 1929. It seems everything this guy ever did was a song composed no later than the 1940s.
LOL I thought this was a track from the 40 s :)

He wasn't. From Wiki:
The identity of the singer who voiced Michigan Frog's original story was unclear and has been shrouded in some degree of mystery. He was definitely not done by Warner's primary voice artist, Mel Blanc. Some identified him as Terrence Monck. The 1998 Rhino compilation Warner Bros. 75 Years of Film Music identified him as Richard Beavers. However, the Looney Tunes Golden Collection unequivocally credits the vocals to Bill Roberts, a nightclub entertainer in Los Angeles in the 1950s who had done voice work for the MGM cartoon Little 'Tinker earlier. Information in the Internet Movie Database restates what the DVD covered and adds some details.

In my neck o' the woods, it's time for April in Paris at the local Rogue's gallery. This would fit right in.

I used to listen to this album a lot some years ago. And then it just fell off my radar. I heard the first couple of chords and it prompted me to write and say "Thank you Bill and Rebecca".
Sweet.
Sweet.
What a voice!!
Leon? Yes! Joe Venuti? YES! One great track!!
Leon Redbone misbehave? I can't imagine...
Great album. One of the first in my collection that I converted to Mp3. The very first was Light as a Feather. My son had broken my record player and, after a five year absence, I missed Chick and Flora.
Just as Tom Robbins posited that "It's never too late to have a happy childhood", Dickran Gobalian proved it's never too late to emigrate from Cyprus and become a mythic figure from an earlier age named Leon Redbone. Good Theatre of Life, great live shows.
What a class act this guy is!
fun....
I remember my sister having this album in our house. I listened to it when she got it and thought it was awful. "this guy can't sing!, and where's the warner brothers cartoon stuff?"
I was 11.
Now I'm 48, and seeing that cover brought back the memories. LIstening to this now, i recognize the genius.
Thanks Bill.

Great album.
I was driving home two days ago and thought - it's been a LONG time since I heard Leon Redbone. Thanks, Bill!
I don't know why, but I've always enjoyed Leon....ever since I saw him on Saturday Night Live waaaaay back in the 70's.
Good old timey music.
