Since you're gone, I sat at home
Wonder why no I'll never be free
But the thought of you
Goin with another guy
No, it could never be me
You took a ring and pawned our love away
What can I say, I am left behind
So I take a drink, another cigarette
I can't forget that you once were mine

What can I say?
I guess it wasn't meant to be
Now you're gone,
It's just, your love is like a drug

It's been so long
Your folks have bet you gone
I know that you're alive inside
So I hope and pray you won't throw this love away
I just wish that you still were mine

Sorry I deleted it. It's a song title you dorks. Anyway sorry

Death Metal isn't really my thing, so I'd never heard of it...

Disgraceful lyrics, in any case.

Not all recordings need to be crystal clear... The intention I think is to generate a certain type of mood around the music... I think it is very effective in a Quentin Tarrentino kind of way...

Maybe Taylor Swift is more your speed.

The Taylor Swift production and mastering treatment would be 100 times better; it's as if they put blankets over top all of the microphones they used.

Why on earth didn't anyone speak up during and/or after the recording was completed?

Where do you buy this song?  I see the album on Itunes and Amazon-14 songs, none of them are Like a Drug.  Would really like to have this one.

The song is the hidden track of the album, have to buy  "Long Slow Goodbye" song ;)

A good 7 for me.
With a better sound, would deserve an 8.
But why the hęll did they produce this track that shitty?

"But why did the band care to try something different and experiment with a song that they wrote rather than meet my expectations as someone who doesn't pay to listen to their music?"  FIxed that for you!

Isn't this band usually a heavy rocker band similar to Audioslave / STP / Soundgarden?

A couple of hours of the good stuff...what more can a body ask, I ask?
Incredibly diverse band with Josh Homme's guitar leading the way.

Love the song, it just took a while to find it!

It's on my Lullabies to Paralyze CD (Australian), I believe it's also on the European release.

The first half of that movie was great. I have never seen a movie take such a plunge off the deep end so hard after the midpoint. Argh.
