My someday coming child
I name and I re-name you
I make up memories for you of melodies
And friends from books I want to give you
And horse and buggy sounds outside
But of the someday coming world
I don't know, I don't know
There is so much I would keep you from
Lf I, if I could
The heroes, selfish fools they only want their freedom
The hero makers' greed prevails
And we are all shock numb
And watch the shock increasing
And shame is something old, outgrown
And of the someday coming, world
I don't know, I don't know
There is so much I would keep you from
Lf I, if I could
Oh, maybe you won't see
My too self-conscious tumblings
My running from the phone, my fears
Because I can be very strong
Say I can, say I can
There is so much to believe in
There are angel words to teach you
There is hope, my daydream child
I name and I re-name you
I make up memories for you of melodies
And friends from books I want to give you
And horse and buggy sounds outside
But of the someday coming world
I don't know, I don't know
There is so much I would keep you from

The Innocence Mission is amazing I think. They're one of those groups I would simply never had heard or discovered were it not for Radio Paradise. Their song titled "Tomorrow On The Runway" broke my heart the first time I heard it and I've loved their music ever since. Someday Coming is another example of their great musical artistry.
personally i think her voice is extremely recordable so it its good to hear.
Love the guitar on this but not the vocals. I like alot of IM's songs but this one left me a bit cold.
Play nice, boys.
(oh, and yeah, I like this one...)

interesting guitar sound, but needs a direction and a stronger melodic line. Decent attempt. Sounds like every other female singer to me.
You, my friend, need to listen again. Karen Peris has by far one of the most distinctive voices in music. Your other complaints are silly and amusingly arrogant.

Yeah just like Amy Lee, Amy Winehouse and Jessica Simpson. Stop being retarded Gednabb.
Thanks for your classy, kind and insightful comment!

Wow this makes 3 bands so far today I thought was 10,000 Maniacs here. And that is not a bad thing, this song is alright. 4 stars from the Federal Republic of Texas.

Woo-hoo! First comment goes to me :o). No' bad - I like the clanging guitar intro, a bit Cocteau Twins, but I'm not so sure about the singer. 5 from the Nottingham jury for now.
