Clothes were wet and steaming by the time I figured it out
You didn't die in the fire, it was the flood that carried you from me
And the embers of your house still glowing
Make it hard to sleep
It's hard to breathe
There's not much room to go more crazy
A flaming sword above my head for all of you to see
Beware my girl, beware
Beware my girl, beware of these memories and what is real, what is real
I walk this world forever in a dream
Or is this the land of the living
Or is this your way to tell me that I couldn't save you
I couldn't save you
It could be a PICNIC

Nice, I use PEBCAK*

The transition from Martha Wainwright to Neko Case does Neko's voice no favours. Maybe its a tad flat on this live performance? But going to the Grateful Dead Jack-A-Roe follows that trend...
... and having just heard it again 8 months later, I'll allow that that she slides up there eventually, but was wondering who the guitarist was. Sounded like a restrained Sonny Landreth!
The transition from Martha Wainwright to Neko Case is a breath of fresh air. While Martha is fine, Neko is amazing.

You must be psychic... was reading your post and low and behold.... GD Jack-A-Roe came on Jerry may not have the best voice but he can sure play the guitar!

Sure there is.
Why would you PSD anything from Neko??

Agreed, but I can take more of Neko than Florence, who suffers from the same distal occlusion. At least, that my conclusion.
...distal occlusion...my conclusion....let there be no confusion... I like it!
Why admit that?
I too have a semi-irrational list of things I don't like but I'm always challenging myself branch out. Like Psyllium Husk, for example, I forced myself to like it and my colon hasn't stopped thanking me since. Psyllium Husk.

...only their dentists know for sure.
I have missed your posts Ro
I love everything she does...............
Thank you, friend... I appreciate that...

I like her, but I can't really get into her music. She's too much vocal and not enough subtlety. Sorry to those who love her music...

I'll have to check and see if there is a DVD of this performance.
Personally, I think it's best really loud in the car with the windows down on a warm summer night. But, that's just me.

Excellent example.
The instruments don't matter when her voice us at its peak.
If you're going to play country, play country...not this crap. There are a lot of legitimate artists this girl only dreams of being able to imitate.
Like saying "if you're going to play rock, play rock". Leaves a very wide field open to almost infinite interpretation.

I like it!
Unique is exactly right, but I can't say that I like it much. I did, when I first heard Neko Case, but the novelty is wearing off for me, I'm afraid.
gosh i liked it... a lot
i can't believe i'm going to say this. but i liked it, too.

So much screeching, so little actual talent.
I firmly believe Neko has talent, otherwise people like me wouldn't buy her CD's Neko's "talent" is exemplified in her song Deep Red Bells... no other can sing it as beautifully as Neko does, in my humble opinion.
I'm still curious as to your "talent" RadioDoc... is there reason to be disrespectful to others who do well for themselves?
You Sir are a flaming fucktard. And I mean that with the utmost respect.
Cheers from sunny Floritucky.

I always can tell when I'm right. The PR attack dogs are released.

Not her finest hour, but not your's either.
