Wow. Just wow.
Boy, did this ever catch my attention! That two-note guitar, and the vocals... So distinctive. I might need another listen, but I liked this from the start... (The segué into Traffic's "Shanghai Noodle Factory" didn't work for me at all...)
Not too bad, but not making me eager for more. Gave it a 6...
still liking it a year later——soothing.

Thank you for a really good relax!!!
i once got a compilation of bands who were on a label called "Glitterhouse" many who had this sound; I always hoped to hear more of this and hearing this made me prick up my ears.

Sounds nothing like WP to me. If I had to pigeonhole, I'd say they (in this song at least) sounded like Calexico with mellower vocals.
Great sound. But I've heard it before as Widespread Panic.

First time I listen to this song - I like it very much. Thank you Bill!
I like this more and more. Plus, I always think its so cool when artists post messages here. I have to admit it quite possibly skews my ratings upwards, but so be it.
Cool song.
Thanks! We're very glad that you like it!

I agree. I think it is because of Ghost Riders in the Sky, and Riders on the Storm.
Is this new or old? It sounds quite timeless. Me likely!

Hmm...kept waiting for this song to start...
I had a motjiva the other day. Very refreshing. No? Wait...
A little bit of the Church maybe? Nice and smooth.

I'm fond of all those bands. Funny, I first thought it was the Republic Tigers. hehe
That much confusion and I'm thinking the style is already rather unique.

Enough with that plinking sound from the guitar already.
Or would that be plunking?
Either way.

Crap guitar on this.
This song sounds so much like 'Synesthesia" by Montrose from the 80's it could be plagarism. The guitar work is eerily similar. Interesting... If you have never heard this song by Montrose, it is very haunting guitar work.
I know what I hate...and I don't hate this...6.

I hate to be a little grammar nerd, but is that *really* the title of the album?

Song titles can usually be excused for poor grammar because of the artistic/cultural intention, but "We Better Free Ourselves" doesn't sound like any sort of artistic statement. Just ignorant grammar.
Ugh..
We'd Better Free Ourselves
That bugaboo aside, the song is mellow and pretty nice on first listen.

Motjiva is a hardworking and persistent band from Copenhagen. The four members share their unlike background of musical influences and has within short time grown and gained attention. In 2008 Motjiva made their first self produced promotion album "We better free ourselves". The band are in constantly working progress of making new songs. In their own studio, time is no limit. Creativity and enthusiasm unfolds and the sound of Motjiva is there... Motjiva album "We better free ourselves" is avalable at Soundstation.dk and on iTunes.

Uh, despite this shameless heart-on-sleeve self promotion—are they starving, too?—I like this cut a lot. Hey guys, get a copy editor before the BS unfolds more rapidly than, what was it?, the "creativity and enthusiasm..." Yeesh.
