I been in this room too long I cannot see it anymore
How could I trust again like I've never been hurt before
Even thought I try to it won't be easy to get to the core

Turn the light back on I want to see your eyes
Without a warning suspicion sat by our side
I was tragically in love with all your lies
You were fond of them yourself

If I could dance on my toes I might be able to understand
It seems like the truth and the lie are walking hand in hand
No matter what you require I can only refer to where I stand

Turn the light back on I want to see your eyes
Without a warning suspicion sat by our side
I was tragically in love with all your lies
You were fond of them yourself

Carry me, carry me, carry me,
Carry me, carry me, home just carry me

Man just imagine being this  bands ... bass player say. You get the sheet music for a song like this and think, "yeah ok I can do this." Deep down though you're praying, praying that you can do it alone in your own booth before the lyrics are patched in so you don't have to hear (again) how the lead singer is feeling about how hurt she is or isn't, or how she hurt so-and-so and they hurt her, or how she's sad about being happily sad (and how that makes her happy). Then it hits you just how bloody drunk you're going to have to be to survive a tour.

Then you wake up and realize, damn she's my girlfriend too, not just the singer.

Irya's Playground MySpace

Irya's Playground has finally released their eponymous debut album!
(Byker Wall/Universal).
Irya Gmeyner and Pange Öberg are the driving force behind Irya’s Playground – they write, record and produce all the music. Together with the band members Erik Nilsson (Drums) and Jon Bergström (Guitar), who have been influential in the studio, a sound has been created, with musicians like Ebbot Lundberg, Conny Nimmersjö, Bebe Risenfors, Martin Hederos, Stefan Axelsen and Freddie Wadling. Irya’s Playgrounds music breathes the big city, with influences such as dub, punk, new wave and electro. The music is often pared down, but beneath the surface it bubbles with energy and attitude. Always with a fantastic voice in focus. https://www.irya.se
