And when I see you
I really see you upside down
But my brain knows better
It picks you up and turns you around
Turns you around
Turns you around
If you feel discouraged
When there's a lack of color here
Please don't worry lover
It's really bursting at the seams
Absorbing everything
The spectrum's A to Z
This is fact, not fiction
For the first time in years
All the girls in every girlie magazine
Can't make me feel any less alone
I'm reaching for the phone
To call at 7:03
And on your machine, I slur a plea
For you to come home
But I know it's too late
I should have given you a reason to stay
Given you a reason to stay
Given you a reason to stay
Given you a reason to stay
This is fact, not fiction
For the first time in years...

Apparently, BillG does this combo somewhat frequently....I've said it before; the music is Gold and BillG is a GOLDSMITH!! Long Live RP!!
I'm not sure how often these are played together, although I just got to hear Mother by Pink Floyd before this track (on an offline Cache Block download) and the combo of these two was excellence. Bravo to you, again, BillG!

DCFC channeling Bread... pretty unthinkable. Ugh suckobarfo!
Somebody just shoot me. A Big Time "1".
This whole album is fantastic.
Transatlanticism and Plans are my favorite DCFC albums.

Lame... just lame...
You can't say that this song isn't self-descriptive. Wan, colourless, faded, drab. At least the lyrics and tone are in synch, in contrast to so many Death Cab songs which are poppy and have lyrics that would make Fields of the Nephilim jump off buildings in despair. Such songs do make your feet tap, but this is just aural Valium. 3 from the narcoleptic Nottingham jury

The strangest thing. When I bought this CD when it was new and hot, I listened to it many times. It had no impact at all on me at the time. Hearing it here over the years has made me really like it. Good job RP.
love this. i really do.
the lyrics kill me.
the lyrics kill me.
Upped from a 9 to a 10 based on the smile the first few notes just put on my face.
Hmm Simplicity at its best.
Gotta love lyrics that slip in a little biology factoid (the one about the human eyeball seeing everything upside down).

"Every forum has to have a curmudgeon, I suppose." That's hilarious.
"Even if they are sadly mistaken." Even if the artists and their fans are sadly miseducated.
I've heard stuff by DCFC that's clever. They do the best they can with what they got.
I see; whoever dares deviate from your highly sophisticated and rarefied tastes in music must surely do so because they are "sadly miseducated".

This is what you get when you remove art and music from public education.

I don't know, Transatlanticism and Plans are both pretty good albums start to finish. There aren't many albums these days that are good for the whole spin, but these two definitely are. This is one of my favorite DCFC songs, though!
best song on this particular CD?

great album...my favorite death cab album.
This entire album is as close to perfection as I can imagine...for an indie band from Seattle in the 2000's. (I certainly didn't want to say it competes with Abbey Road...)
too short beautiful song
