Oh my lord
She give me chills and fever
Sends a signal
To my receiver
Hard livin' killing me
I need that woman to set me free
And I want her
I want her so much
Cause she got the lover's touch
Feel sold out
Water gettin' higher
Livin' on the shoreline
Starin' at the fire
And I want her
I want her so much
Cause she got the lover's touch
I hear her voice
When I'm all alone
Gives me comfort
So soft and low
And I want her
I want her so much
Cause she got the lover's touch
She give me chills and fever
Sends a signal
To my receiver
Hard livin' killing me
I need that woman to set me free
And I want her
I want her so much
Cause she got the lover's touch
Feel sold out
Water gettin' higher
Livin' on the shoreline

TP was simply awesome AND prolific AND never diminished in quality, beginning to end. His main man on guitar, Mike Campbell, was no slouch either. Plz keep it up, Bill.

It says the song is 4:18 but it feels much longer.

This whole album is quite remarkable. Which is remarkable in and of itself given that an artist of Tom's history/magnitude/capability can continue to put out masterpieces. The vast majority of those that continue to put out music decades later after their first "generally" begin to decline in what they create. I would posit that his last two albums really are quite excellent and are worthy of being judged against his earlier work.
Okay, let's the haters come at me for this generalized statement.

Damn, quite hot!
A1 baby (the music I mean : )

Not really Tom Petty RP's obsession.., Simply passion about music two human beings - no automatically computed commercial playlists - like to share with their listeners.
I'm not a Tom Petty's great fan, indeed.
Kind regards

Wow, what a bluesy groove. Like a slowed-down "Breakdown".

I find it difficult to like this song or other songs from Tom Petty. Maybe it's too USA for me?

This song is certainly not among his best, imo. Oh I dunno I think it has a nice slow bluesy groove to it. I can see being in a smoky bar, nursing a glass of whiskey, and crying about the woman I lost, while on stage the singer is belting this out.

Nina Simone? omg, I really thought so. I like it.
Whoah...was it really Summer of '85 when I saw these guys play Red Rocks? I might be mistaken, but it seems that Dire Straits and Bob Dylan were also in that line-up. In any case, I liked the Mudcrutch stuff, but was so glad they put out this record. They ROCK as a group!

I have a very hard time rating any song done by Tom Petty and Mike Campbell lower than a 9. I think of
Free Fallin', I won't back down, You wrecked me babe and Runnin' down a dream, his solo work on Wild flowers, (although Campbell did the lead work) to some wonderful tunes on The Traveling Wilburys I and II and so, so much more. Campbell is one of the American guitarist greats, the guys leads are as good as R & R gets. I keep thinking I have to cherish anything the Heartbreakers do as if we get another album out of the group it will a surprise. Whenever I've been driving for 3-4 hours and want something to light me up, or just can't handle an album with 50% filler it's Petty to the rescue. Tom and co. are solid gold.

Great song but what a drop in speed from the Black Keys. Feels like I just hit a brick wall. Smoother transition next time please.

I like Petty, but I'm not a fanatic, he has a bunch of decent stuff. I have to say that this album is GREAT! It may be his best. An interesting blend of songs and sounds. And just about every song has a great guitar lick. RP introduced this album to me and for that I thank you.
Petty never strays too far from his roots, but if he did, this album would be a return to them. Gotta love it.
PURE CLASS!

I like Tom Petty, just can't his voice, today, in THIS song.
Simplicity at its best ...........
I love the languid pace of this lazy gem.
Always the masters of understatement. Great - a breath of fresh air.
Magnificent. And doesn't this song convey the atmosphere one wants from a lover's touch? Onomotopeia, sorta.

No so afflicted by this excellent and soulful rendition, but when RP dials up a set of tunes that are just too vanilla or lightweight for my peculiar tastes, I switch over to Creamy Radio for a while ( creamyradio.com ) A somewhat younger orientation on the playlist, and plenty of daring experiments. Pretty soon, however, it hip-hop and bubblegums at me until I return home to RP. Try it, some good new rock music aired there.Let this be the start for a great set of songs for those ~40.

In a way, I'm sorry these guys got so much airplay in the last decade — because THEY'RE GOOD. They really are, and it's a shame that a few of their best tunes have hit my ears too many times.

Sounds like he might have a new producer.. I've never heard his voice processed like that before. I like this, more bluesy than SoCal rock.
Wow, for a moment, I thought it was still the previous song. What a transition!
...you know, i'm surprised to be not as impressed by this album as i expected to be, given my reaction to the individual tracks i'd heard here on radio paradise...on reflection, i think mojo is a case of its parts proving greater than the whole...
...several of the individual tracks are outstanding, taken in isolation, which suggests that the source album should be a work of inspired sessions, but in actuality it comes across as vaguely derivative, even a presumtuous affectation, by comparison to the genuine article it seems to imitiate...don't misunderstand me, it's not bad by any means, it's just sort of - eh, really, homogenised when listened straight through...
...i may have had a more positive reaction if mojo's individual tracks hadn't built such anticipation in my mind beforehand, but really?..i guess i just don't go for them turnip greens...

I keep doing a double take with the songs on this album because they rock, and they sound like Tom Petty, and I'm thinking, jeez, how old is that guy... this is an amazing album! These guys still rock.

I've found over the years that if I like a new TP album on the first listen, then I don't tend to like it as much over time. HOWEVER, if it takes a few listens to catch the vibe of the album, then it usually indicates that album will become a "classic" TP album, at least to my ears.
MOJO definitely takes a few playings, but I'm really diggin' it.
