From these waters, thoughts for me to you
Observer serves a higher point of you
Now we see that you are me and I am you
My thoughts are blooming roses blue
Water through my soil, through my roots
Searching for higher, higher point of you
From these waters to the sky and through the moon
I'm from Nederland!
Home of the "Carousel of Happiness" not to mention Frozen Dead Man Days coming up later this month.
I would have loved to see ER open for
George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic
as it states on their Wiki page.
Me Too!!

Much pleasure was had, listening Thanks R.P :>
I remember that quote from the late great Cynaera when Stingray seemed to be managing to annoy just about everyone. She is missed.
I just can't imagine how they revive elephants with it, is all.
Nice groove in this tune.
=7=
Gentle yet thorough.
I don't think I'd wish this on ANYONE - not even Stingray. (Well, maybe I'd wish the laxatives part on him... )
Oh... poop humor! Now that's funny right there!
Excremental comedy aside, I like this music. It's mellow and nice and not shitty at all.
My mind, it is an ocean blue

and my heart is full of love tonight
thanks rp
Gorgeous. And thanks, RP, indeed, for finding us these gems!
The way you zero in on a PORTION of a comment and use it completely out of context in an attempt to validate your opinion is worthy of a true politician. Now, run along. I'm busy plotting world domination.
Ann old friend, we still miss you! RIP out there in Elko, NV
Cynaera, is this the kind of elephant-related therapy you might recommend for Stingray?

YES!! To me too. Until now I had been thinking it was her — I guess I saw the word "Elephant", and since Rachael has an album titled "Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Heart", I hadn't bothered to look closer / deeper at the details.... oops, my bad
My bad, they did play this piece!
Ann, let rdo be - it's physicsgenius - same crap, different incarnation.
Don't know physicsgenius, sure like to meet him.
It gives me happiness!
:)

People know how to use the scroll bar to see your full post, I am pretty sure. Your little friend Stinky has become kind of a pet obsession for you. It seems every other board nowadays is filled with either a) "we be dancing" b) a half-page-length pointless photo posted by one regular poster or c) your ongoing feud with Stinkray. He is a brat, no doubt. I think he's kind of funny now and then, and not near as bad as you make him out to be.
I count on your vote come November.
2. Bill needs to ban you from this place,
Spoken like a true Fascist.

Had the same Nickel Creek comparison come to mind. Another new band introduced to me on RP.
Can't find a saw playing emoticon.........anywhere.
Agreed.

You need to see them live, they are truely amazing and Bonnie Paine's (vocals, washboard, djembe, musical saw) voice is beyond compare, I kinda wish they would feature her more, sounds like Natalie Marchant but such a poweful vibrato and lilt to her voice.

I laugh my ass off!
They can play what they want - I already hate them!
Elephant Revival - paaaaaaahhh!!!!
1 minute later:
and the music is really shitty too!
Elephant shit!
This band will be huge, I saw them recently and photographed them in Utah and was spell bound from the first song. You can see my review and photos of this show on my concert photography site here: https://gonzoshots.com/archives/8719
1. You need to get a job. One that actually requires you to be tactful.
2. Bill needs to ban you from this place, since you obviously don't like what he presents.
3. Duct-tape. To keep you from typing.
4. A healthy dose of the real world, to possibly make you grow up and start acting like a mature human being instead of a troll.
5. Now that you've laughed your ass off, would you please laugh your mouth shut and your hands still, too?
Guh. Sick to death of you, Stingray.

I found this song so engaging that I did buy the CD. I have to say that I find this song by far the best thing on the CD. The rest is very listenable, and I'm waiting to hear if it grows on me.
One thing really bothered me: the CD came without lyrics for the songs. I have always been of the opinion that any band or artist who ships a CD without lyrics is telling me that the lyrics aren't worth listening to. For me, that means that neither is the artist worth my time. (I've never had the best hearing, and I really appreciate being able to read the lyrics while listening to a song).
My .02.
SHOUTcast MIGHT BE A PERFECT FIT (sorry, couldn't resist, even though the post in question didn't feature any SHOUTING)
No one is forcing you to listen to RP homey.
This song gives me the chills when I hear it. My favorite track on the album.
FYI... That weird instrument you hear at the beginning is actually a musical saw, not a synth...If memory serves, it was a carpenter's hand saw played with a violin bow. A haunting sound...
Thanks to Bill and Rebecca for picking these guys up!great band, thanx Bill!

Yep, Nickel Creek with guest signer is what I first thought, too.
Sinead I think.
Hard to comprehend that the majority of listeners rate this as a 7. Calm, contemplative and musical excellence not appreciated? Oh well!
Well, that means those folks find it quite likeable. Nothing wrong with that!
