If I could to hold hold out for now
With these ice caps melting down
With the transistor sound
And my Chevrolet terraplane
Going around around around

Come on little gamma ray
Standing in a hurricane
Your brains are bored
Like a refugee from a house that's burning
And the heat wave's calling your name

She's got on a cactus crown
With a dot dot dot on her brow
And she speaks inside a cloud
With her countenance turning around

Hit me like a gamma ray
Standing in a hurricane
And I'm pulling out thorns
Smokestack lightning out my window
I want to know what I've lost today

Come on little gamma ray
Standing in a hurricane
And your body's bored
Like a refugee from a house that's burning
And the backwater's calling your name

Somebody has to explain to me where the magic and genius is in this guy rather than any teen playing comparable stuff with neighbors in his garage for his neighborhood.

Point me to one of those teenagers making music I want to listen to and I’ll agree with you.
B52's rythm.  Not bad.
man, I loooooove this whole album, Beck at his most playful, melodic, fun... talented bastard!

Not really. He's rated quite well. Maybe not in your circles. I always jump on this comment...when one decides whether a band or artiste is under or over rated. Totally subjective.

Wiki-" Beck has won 7 Grammy Awards from 17 nominations, including Album of the Year in 2015 for Morning Phase..." and.....

Not under rated at all.

Beck — Gamma Ray

Great set of songs! They have all something weird but good.

Hey RPers, where's our Teutonic capslock ranter these days? Stingray hasn't commented since sometime in September '15. Have the Thetans rounded him up?

Maybe the Scientologist Proctologists got him; ouch!

If Beck's fumbling down at the back end these days, it's probably difficult for him to be "Clear"...

Love hearing Beck, but I have to ask; do his lyrics make any kind of sense to anyone but him?

Beck's lyrics make more and more sense every time you listen to a song. Or is it just me?
Freaking love this song!!! Reminds me of a library in Bend Oregon
