Go ahead
Go ahead, smash it on the floor
Take whatever's left
And take it with you out the door
See if I cry
See if I shed a single sorry tear
Can't say that it's been that great
No, in fact, it's been a wasted, worried year
Everybody sees
And everyone agrees
That you and I are wrong
And it's been that way too long
Take it as it comes
And be thankful when it's done
There's so many ways to act
And there's many shades of black
There's so many shades of black
There's so many shades of black
Let it out
Let it all out, say what's on your mind
You can kick and scream and
Shout and say things that are so unkind
Yeah, see if I care
See if I stand firm or if I fall
'Cause in the back of my mind and on the tip of my tongue
Is the answer to it all
And everybody sees
And everyone agrees
That you and I are wrong
And it's been that way too long
Take it as it comes
And be thankful when it's done
There's so many ways to act
And there's many shades of black
There's so many shades of black
Yeah, there's many shades of black
Everybody sees
And everyone agrees
That you and I are wrong
And it's been that way too long
So take it as it comes
And be thankful when it's done
There's so many ways to act
And you cannot take it back
No, you cannot take it back
Yes, there's many shades of black
There's so many shades of black
Yeah, there's many shades of black
There's so many shades of black
There's so many shades of black
Yeah, there's many shades of black
There's so many shades of black

I gave it a 2 (and I'm being generous) just a bunch of noise
Isn't this from Rocky Horror?

I'm not a fan of Adele, but this is one song I actually like to hear her sing, and I do even prefer her version to this one...

maybe it's the horn section, but I really like this song. plus it's totally fun to sing in the car and the guitar solo is squelchy good.

This is a nicer version then the Adele one IMHO
Sad to say, I will not be in attendance at Jack's show on Sunday at the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Theater in Vancouver. On the bright side, the Mrs. and I will see Roger Waters perform The Wall tonight at BC Place Stadium.

Gives a whole new meaning to "dissonance"
What a great rocking start, then it all grinds to a halt and screeches onto a complete other track, which was rather disappointing. 8 for the intro, 6 for the main song itself.
Yeah... I don't need to hear this again. Once was enough for sure.
Love the album cover, the song......not so much.
A good tune on a brilliant album. I give it a 7, but several 9's on the rest of the collection.
Two albums to date by this group, two Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album, one Grammy for Best Engineered. The two vastly different styles of White and Benson combine to be far greater than the sum of their two parts. Saw them live at Austin City Limits Festival, blew the place apart. After (hopefully) a pause to do other things, they have scheduled some 2011 dates. They have the potential for lasting greatness, if they can hang together.
To some of the naysayers who say these guys are just imitating others, tell that to Jack White's face.

True Statement That !
Both this original version and then again with Adele are really good. Nice to hear both especially with the contrast she offers.
I'll take the Racs over Adele ANY day.....one of my faves by them.
Awesome tune, love the album.......
While I like the Adele version I keep hearing on RP, I really love this. Thanks for offering both!
