Fly me to the moon
Let me play among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby kiss me
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
Fly me to the moon
Let me play among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby kiss me
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you

For some reason this is not available in the iTunes or Amazon stores in the US. When you try to purchase from the Swedish iTunes store it says no dice... is there a copyright problem or something with the song? I do really like this rendition.
Infinitely better than the F.S version. Frankie sings it w/ a drink in his hand and some blonde spilling out of her dress waiting in the car. Anna’s got little flower petals around her feet
This is just such an excellent reworking of a clichèd and cheesy song. The true art of the cover version is to add something new to the song, and Anna, the beautiful angel-voiced Anna, does that in Spades. 8 from the smitten Nottingham jury
Didn't realize it was the Sinatra classic for a while. Her voice remind me of Marketa Irglova from the movie Once. Like the accent more than the song
Way to kill a great song...
I like the voice, but her phrasing is driving me nuts.
It's working for me..
Well this is different. I think I like it, but I'm honestly not sure. It's not even an homage to the original, it's just the same words in a different song.
trying to like this...but...no...
this is no worse or better than alpha blondy....
in other words "terrible"

Impressive list of cover for this song on wikipedia page - Nice listening to all sorts of talents (huge ones!) like Marvin Gaya, Oscar Peterson, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, and so on. Again, so many artists put their own inerpretation in this song, it's a journey in the voices.
I like Anna Ternheim soft, serene, poetic tone. Another part of the world

Why?
Anna Ternheim - Strangers In The Night Live (2009), with Ane Brun on stage.
"Strangers in the Night" is a popular song composed by Bert Kaempfert with English lyrics by Charles Singleton and Eddie Snyder. Kaempfert originally used it under the title "Beddy Bye" as part of the instrumental score for the movie "A Man Could Get Killed". The song was made famous in 1966 by Frank Sinatra.
Strangers in the night exchanging glances
Wond'ring in the night
What were the chances we'd be sharing love
Before the night was through.
Something in your eyes was so inviting,
Something in your smile was so exciting,
Something in my heart,
Told me I must have you.
Strangers in the night, two lonely people
We were strangers in the night
Up to the moment
When we said our first hello.
Little did we know
Love was just a glance away,
A warm embracing dance away and -
Ever since that night we've been together.
Lovers at first sight, in love forever.
It turned out so right,
For strangers in the night.
Love was just a glance away,
A warm embracing dance away.
Ever since that night we've been together.
Lovers at first sight, in love forever.
It turned out so right,
For strangers in the night.

Minus 1 for me. PSD for sure.
No idea what possessed her to cover this. Not working for me, sorry.
Frankie may be swirling in his martini glass...
She has an awesome voice, so serene. Likey.
Hmm... No.
why did she cover this? great song, but seems like there's a ton of other standards more worthy than this....unless there's some kind of personal connection.
production's cool. I like the finger squeak (fingertalk i think it's called) on the guitar work.

Interesting.

Hmmm.....maybe if she'd put more emotion into it, it would have worked. As it is, it really doesn't.
..digging it..

Interesting.
Sometimes, covers work. Covers that go off the beaten path. Deliberately.
This does NOT work. I repeat, does NOT work.
Should have just written an original lyric.
Awful.

Yeah, trying a little too hard to be "special"... it's like Anna is waving a small little flag much too fervently.
No, don't like it. I grew up with the Astrid Gilberto version and this one is too atonal, no emotion. If I hadn't heard the words, I never would have thought it was that song.
I really love Fly Me to the Moon and just sat down to listen to RP. I missed this song so I took the link to iTunes to hear it, but it says nothing found. When I search for Anna Ternheim and Fly Me to the Moon, no dice. What gives here? I'd love to hear this track.
My dad sang this to me every night before I went to bed, back in the 60s. Frank Sinatra's version. Can't abide by this one, not even a bit.

Holy crap! The song was half over before I finally zoned in and started listening to the lyrics and realized what it was... I liked it just fine before, and even more now. You don't hear such classic tunes reworked to this degree too often...
This is really fantastic. Great sound.
Very nice cover. Love RP for playing lots of what you seldom find anywhere else.
Innovative, stripped-down remake - sounds fabulous.
I like what they did with this classic. Really cool.
Bill's been playing this new album a lot...and I say RIGHT ON BILL...I love this girl!
Yes! The ending is very interesting.
For another deconstructed song and reput together, Can we hear the Civil Wars and Billie Jean?
Their version is a totally new way-just acoutic guitar and voices..

Frank did cover this as well... I almost forgot about that. ;)
Nice take, can we get some real Frank after this?

Ballsy. Like it. Spare & respectful.

I like it. Thanks Bill!
Well, put me on a rocket and call me Kirk, this is a certainly a different take on the old classic. Anna deconstructs it and recasts it in a sombre Swedish light. I'm sure Frank is spinning in his grave, but I like it. I also like the way she says Jupiter...Juuupitar
