Do it, do it, do it,
Do it, do operator
Come up, come up, come up so hard
Do it, do it, do it,
Do it, do operator
So what, so what, so what, so what, so what?
Do it, do it, do it,
Do it, do operator
So what, so what, so what, so what, so what?

It's impossible and, over mountain Doka
And I wonder, I wonder, I wonder
There is nothing else that in pieces to pieces are straight
When I forget about it
I can't face the pieces on fire
You stood straight, cause don't you know
That I've been picking up, to someone
Help, I'm falling down!

It's impossible, when the night inverts us
And I wonder, I wonder, I wonder what I am?
It's destructible, but I know that someday,
when I'm gone, I'm going, I'm going oh-oh-oh
I can't face the pieces on fire,
You stood strangers don't you know?
That I've been picking up from somebody's left
Help, I'm falling down!

Do it, do it, do it,
Do it, do operator
Come on, come on, come on so hard
Do it, do it, do it,
Do it, do operator
Come on, come on, come on so hard

Someone has all of Shearwater’s CDs
At first listen, I thought this may have been Shearwater
quite nice !
RP is cooling us down after the previous energetic tracks. The drums remind me of Moev's "Zimmerkampf".

I bet you ment "futile"
Excellent! I never heard of them before. Thank You RP!

This is.. hmm.. not impressive. Not at all. Actually quite boring, but still a helluva lot better than what they're playing in DR P3(Danish Radio, Programme 3).

The other day the mrs had set our car radio to play DR P3. When I had to use the car later that day I was immediately appaled by the extreme use of autotune(I think it's called). And it got even worse: It was in Swedish!!  (not that I have a lot against our scandinavian neighbours in general, mind you.)  Probably the worst 'music' I've ever heard.

Swedish Autotune.. Sounds about as fun as Vogon poetry 🤣

@Bill, btw if you're into exploring Danish music, give Agnes Obel a rest and check out some of the 70's rock like Gasolin - there's a cool track called Rabalderstræde. The parental generation back then referred to the genre as 'Barbwire music', complaining and moaning that it sounded like the guitars were strung up with.. well.

Aluminum group guys?

There's a hollow mountain in Scotland, containing a hydro power station. Ben Cruachan. The Glasgow crime writer Chris Brookmyre set a novel in it.
I woke up and this was playing I have no idea how I got here. A 10 is burning a hole through my pocket. Kathryn is beautiful woman and she needs to know that.

Interestingly, I remember this NPR story, but don't recall hearing this piece before.

Believe I listen more closely to music on RP than even I do on NPR, which says something for me.
Probably because of listening to RP thru headphones.  Maybe not because the NPR story was quite a while ago now.

NPR (my local station) and RP are the only 2 entities I contribute to on a monthly basis automatically.
Reminiscent of Blue Nile
RP has taken over my world. Spotify is pointless.  TV is dead.  Resistance is useless.
Saw these guys performing this album at The Sage in Gateshead before I knew anything about them. Stunning show. Also, that venue is just about the best place to see any band where sound quality is important; the acoustics are unreal.
Hmm, reminds me of Agnes Obel, also from Denmark.
Think it's meant to cool you down,

Never heard this....RP I love you for that!
LOVE this entire album! Discovered them when NPR did a feature on them. The story of how and where the album was largely recorded is fascinating. Check it out if you haven't yet!

Bill, this is a creepy song for a sunny Saturday afternoon.

I heard the NPR story about that, it was fascinating, made me want to visit the island.

Just rated this a 7 without knowing it was the band from that story.
Will need to bump to 8 for serendipity's sake.

Now that is interesting. Thanks for the post.
I liked it until the slow bit in the middle. And then they bring in strings, oh dear... Then it redeems itself at the end. This song is a mess, but it's a good kind of mess, mostly.

Yeah, I just made that up.  But it might be true?

Hillarious!

Actually, the word is composed of two words that appear in english - After and Clang - think of E.A. Poe's poem 'The Bells' there is a Clang. and the 'After' in this case is the sound of the Bells slowly dying in something of a rolling (thunder?)

So Reverb probably pretty much covers that. . .allthough, clang may not be in everyday use any longer?

Kinda liking this, too.....not ready to rate it yet....but liking this.

..tune sorta grabbed me at the outset..starting it at a solid 7 & will see how it grows..
Great album, my fave tracks are Apples and Black Summer, but there are several that could/should get played on RP.
Something else.
I listened up too.
