The time has come for giving up
I have lost
I wanted once to become what
I cannot
Why come to me so full of dreams?
Well, go on
With feathered keys
You're mocking me
I am locked
It's easier to pine
To pine
I can feel it
Through the fields of graves
A beating heart
While
Rolling hills are
Roaming through my veins
And open arms
And all is full of smoke
Ah-ah-ah pining
Ah-ah-ah pining
Ah-ah-ah pining
Ah-oh-ooh
The words you speak
Stir things in me that I thought (that I thought)
Were gone
Their faint white heat
Melts centuries
Deep in
Frost
I can feel it
Through the fields of graves
A beating heart
While
Rolling hills are
Roaming through my veins
And open arms
And all is full of
Hope
Ah-ah-ah pining
Ah-ah-ah pining
Ah-ah-ah pining
Ah-ah-ooh pining
Ah-ah-ah pi-pining
Ooh-ooh-ooh pining
Ah-ah-ah pining
Ah-ah-ah

RP you are the soundtrack of my life.
Fine songs like this accompany each one of my days either via my Favorites or stored on my phone for when I ride my T7 through the pine forests in the remote Scottish Highlands...
Thanks Bill & Becky

Interesting, compelling music and then the charm turns some of us into focused 17-year old boys, if only for a few moments. -hehe-
At first, I thought Sudol was European. So wrong.... and yeah, why not a daughter of Seattle?

What a lovely song. May all life's many messes be made so pretty. (Hey, don't snort your damn coffee, kids. It is possible. Try harder.)
Queenie!

But it is. Alison seems to get more slack here than seems warranted by us listeners' comments. Ever since her "You Picked Me" iTunes August 2007 Pick of the Week that I fell in love with right off, I've grown less and less enamored with her. YPM went from a 9 to a 2 in fairly short order and nothing since has peaked much higher than 6. I'm probably missing something…
I went through the same saga with Neko Case. Liked her at first, but am over it now.

She has one of those breathy, sexy voices, like Goldfrapp, like Imogene Heap, like Harriet Wheeler; I love it!

I am reading David Mitchell's wonderful The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet and I have learned that it was frowned upon in 18th century Holland to be born with red hair if you were a woman. Apparently, this was a sign of low morality (cue, prostitute). Down boy. But really, I love this song. I am giving it a 10.

Oh lordy lordy lordy, she is HAWT.
A bit more frenzy would be fine, and I would pine no more for a bit of zip. Dull song, but very nice voice. The other tracks from them on RP have been pretty good, though. 5 from the Nottingham jury.
Last night someone sent me a private message warning me that there is a petition going around to get me banned from the site.
I responded: "Where do I sign?"
(jk, happy new yah!)

It's been played 9 times in the last month. I wouldn't consider that a real heavy rotation.

Pretty much a comment one might expect from someone with these spelling skills.
I find this OK, not great, not horrid...but OK. Her voice doesn't sell it to me. I'd have like a bit more edge.

7 with bonus for going blond...
A solid 6.5 - mostly quite likable, but need to hear more - this is my first time, and I'm optimistic.
