My feet touch down
In a border town
No one knows me here
My long distance fears
Have long dissapeared
Only a clear horizon

Born optimistic
The old familiar feeling
Like a stone, overgrown
I am, part of the world
Feel the sun, feel the rain
I am, part of the world

America a miracle
Those roads saved my soul
They kept my mouth talking
They kept my spirit
Walking
No one could stop this now

Born optimistic
The old familiar feeling
Like a stone, overgrown
I am, part of the world
Feel the sun, feel the rain
I am, part of the world

Where will I go
The time that the lights low
I'll drift through the air
Become part of the horizon
And stay part of the world
Just stay part of the world
Just stay part of the world

Terry Jacks?

Isn't he the guy who did "Seasons in the Sun" the tune that still makes my skin crawl when I hear it?

Agreed....both in how excellent "Goodbye" is and how, for me, the band has become another 'if-not-for-RP-I-wouldn't-know-these-guys' gem - Long Live RP and my ever expanding music collection thanks to BillG!!

Nice sentiment expressed to a sometimes jaded American. So a 7 for that.

There's a name I hadn't thought of for quite a while.
Terry Jacks - Poppy Family
Beauty of a track.
Not spectacular. Nice enough and picks up a bit half way through. Sounds like he's singing into a jar and the musicians are in the next room.
Great album that grows with plays.
Terry Jacks?
These guys are the shizz...

I usually don't like Turin Brakes, but this is working for me.
I usually like Turin Brakes.  This song isn't doing it for me however.

I'm always a sucker for acoustic guitar and 6/8 time signature. So far so good! Vocal had me thinking it was Ray LaMontagne at first.

THAT's who I was thinking it reminded me of.  Ray LaMontagne!  Thanks!
