Well I was just thinking how people get up themsleves about 'fashion'; Reading the comments of Nena's poppy little dittie compared to the reverential, existentialist comments about this dirge is certainly a case of the Emperor's New Clothes. It's just slower folks, and in english (and without the armpit hair), get over it, get international and most importanly, get a wider viewpoint!

Agree totally. When I heard he and his band were playing in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast recently and it was being shown on TV I sat down to watch the show... Beck appeared on stage and proceeded to sing along to dance type songs.

Saw Beck for the first time this summer headlining Nashville's Pilgrimage Festival. I was surprised on how well his music came off live, as his songs have really high production values. Easily the best of the dozens of bands there.

sorry but this is a worse copy of Asgeir s summer guest from the album In the silence. Folks if you like this kind of music I deeply recommend this guy from Island. He is just brilliant and his musicians and the sound is far better.

TY RP. BECK is Godlike. I love all his music. I could see this tune being a little slow for a hyper type; so try digging on Beck's other albums: Odelay, Mellow Gold would probably wake you up; Midnight Vulture will put you in a sexy way; Mutations is really good for Sunday morning.

Beck's whole album works really well as a complete work - difficult to cast fair judgement on just one track

This is my first time hearing this and it is really beautiful!! My favorite elements are incorporated in this; love slide steel; optimistic lyrics; sure is bringing us back up after "to build a house"; Beck's voice is really relaxing also to listen to

Great stuff. Album is a little depressing to listen to in one go, but each track stands up well, for me, between other stuff.

Before Morning Phase and Sea Change, there was Tropicalia. This completes the trilogy, most excellently, in my opinion.

Beck is such a diverse musician. Each of his songs are unique.

Definitely taps the Golden Age vibe; that's not a bad thing. I always dig Beck's style details, smooth mood-building and recurring swoons.
