What is this?
It doesn't make much sense
They sing it like a pop song
You're capable of anything
And I'm sure they meant
You could be president
Or you could just forgive me

But I stopped caring what you think about me
I gave up
We're told we are capable of anything
But you don't seem to think that you are
Capable of anything

Swung and missed
I put my heart in this
Mythical, holy, good guy
I want so bad to be
But I was weak and wrong
And when I owned it all
It only made you righteous now
You get to blame your life on me

But I stopped caring what you think about me
I gave up
We're told we are capable of anything
But you don't seem to think that you are
Capable of anything

You are capable of anything
But you don't seem to think that
You could fly so low or sink so high
That you could ever love again or even try
That you could steal, or cheat, or kill, or lie
But you might

This song makes me feel amazing!!! {#Dancingbanana}
Is this a sound track to a children's cartoon on Saturday morning?

"Hey mister baggy pants, your're gonna fall down!"
Minimalist beginning, thought it might be a short Reich or Glass piece.  I like the break in the middle and softer sections to balance the energetic pace.  Not that many groups do that

..yea, maybe. I tend to think this is less indie and more like a suck up corporate pig with indie lipstick. what's more, it sounds like he's trying ot convince himself he doesn;t care. I mean if he doesn't really care, why write a f'n song about it in the first place . .

Excited to hear Ben Folds, with or without the Five, on RP. I've always felt like his music fits in perfectly here, this is the first time I've heard him on the RP playlist. Thanks Bill!

Where's Ben been anyway? This is the first song I've heard from him in ages. Did he semi-retire or something?

Its a 2015 album so he seems to be active.

Pretty sure he stole those flutes from Sufjan Stevens

I was thinking Philip Glass, but the connection's so spotty I might be aurally hallucinating...

Where's Ben been anyway? This is the first song I've heard from him in ages. Did he semi-retire or something?

Saw him perform earlier this year with yMusic, before the album came out. They said they had just finished recording it at the time. I've been waiting for it to come out ever since, so I'm glad to see it has. I'll have to hear more before deciding how I feel about it. At the moment, this song is not grabbing me. Love you though Ben!!!
Today anyway , I really like this

Yea that's kind of what I thought when I first heard it. I have time for this album but it feels a bit strained compared to his old stuff, like he's grasping for the next career-rung...

Music for a funeral procession.
Intriguing. I'm looking forward to hearing it again.

Always Interesting...Like it.
