Traigo cosa rica

Y darle cosa buena

Poquito para aqui, poquito para alla
Poquito para arriba, poquito para abajo
Poquito para aqui, poquito para alla
Se baila esta cumbia

I'm going by the sea, I come in my little boat, to look for my love
I bring something delicious
She waits with all her love, she gives me her sweetness and I
I give you mine

A little here, a little there
A little bit up, a little bit down
A little here, a little there
This cumbia is danced

I am a man I like good things
And also enjoy, with the one of my dreams
She already wants me for my brunette, I want to see her
And give him good things

A little here, a little there
A little bit up, a little bit down
A little here, a little there
This cumbia is danced
POQUITO !!!
The Los never didanythingbelow 7
This doesn't gel to well with concept of music
Me gusta cumbia! The added pleasure of Los Lobos doing it is icing on the cake.
Ouch - this is a very tough transition from Spoon's "Wild" for me.
Glad to hear latin rithms in Radio Paradise!! Go for more, guys, there is a ton of great music in Spanish... Rubén Blades, Juan Luis Guerra, Celia Cruz, to name just 3 outstanding figures...

Makes me want to get back to Ibague, Mompos, and Pereira in the heart of Colombia where it's 24/7 cumbia&romance. Miss you, Edilsa!
These guys are the masters of their game and a true American treasure! Never miss a chance to see them live.

*Sigh*.  So many good cumbias out there...

Lotta' very good musicians in this band.
Reminds me a lot of Ozomatli. Which is a very good thing in my book.

These guys are badazz!
Now howzabout some narcocorridos?
This song makes me dance.

And the accordion!
I adore this! There's no such thing as a bad cumbia!
No pizza ballerina?  Now that's just downright cruel.

Whether or not you like this song is one thing, but comparing Los Lobos to Status Quo or the one trick ponies that were Chas n Dave just makes me shake my head. I can only assume that either you haven't heard much stuff by Los Lobos or you've heard too much stuff by Quo and it's addled your pate.

Well, they may be 9,999 trick ponies, but couldn't this still be just a trick? After seeing them live, I'm pretty sure Los Lobos can just about pull off anything they want to.
Fun!! Please also play from Calexico!

After a year of Latin my teacher retired and was not replaced, so I switched to Spanish (or more precisely Castilian, since there are several Spanish languages). I've been living in Mexico for the last four decades. Is this an example of the butterfly effect?
Ah, Perfect!!! I'm at home making/canning salsa from my garden produce. Thanks, Bill!{#Bananasplit}

Caribbean...at-moment beach-front on a glorious island that embraces this gorgeous Los Lobos rythmn...! Timing of Radio Paradise is yet-again impeccable...!

Spanish-language Status Quo, it seems to me, the kind of thing Chas n Dave would have done if they'd been born in Tijuana.
Takes me back, makes me want to go back, to Pereira, Cartagena, y Mompos — some places where Cumbia grabbed hold of my soul!
Infectious.  Can't keep my hips still.
Who cares if I don't speak Spanish!  Music is the Universal language and I love this song!
I know no Spanish but I love all of Los Lobos' Spanish singing,
I have played the heck out of their all Spanish singing album "La Pistola y El Corazon"

Thanks! It's quite edifying to see a translation! I think it's a great tune. Now when I have the opportunity I can put it on the jukebox and know what I'm subjecting everyone else to. ;-)
Me gusta muchisimo!

Great song! Gets you movin'!
This is a good album, and tracks like this one are great live, they just simmer along.

I can't embed youtubes in song comments for some reason but here's a good video. When I saw them this summer, the songs were so new, they had the sheet music in front of them, and I see Cesar does here, too...
