He met her in the morning sun
He squinted his eyes 'cause the backlight was strong
This is what she does, you know, she blinds us
To hide her brilliance
She's standing with her back towards the sun
Minding her state of oblivion
This is what she does, you know, she blinds us
To save her intemperate heart
He met her in the morning sun and she remembers
Every fibre in the air
It felt like forever, touched with
Universal beauty
And all she wanted, was to disappear
He could never leave her to be gone
He told her, "Please, just lie down
And let my light run through you as easily
As sound waves from a song"
He met her in the morning sun
He laid there with her until the afternoon
"It's funny how things go", she said
"I blind you, and you lead my way instead"
He met her in the morning sun
He squinted his eyes 'cause the backlight was strong
This is what she does, you know, she blinds us
To hide her brilliance
She's standing with her back towards the sun
Minding her state of oblivion
This is what she does, you know, she blinds us

Odd, yet weird video! One thing really shines thru tho....Ane's voice! She could sing a phone book and it would sound good! Thnx for sharing!
If you'd like to have your mind completely blown, find the video for her song "Do You Remember," and then see if you can possibly forget about it.
When I visited Trondheim a couple of years ago, I went to "Rockheim", a pop music museum. A guide played me an Ane Brun song, saying "You'll probably don't know this artist"... Little did he know that I had already been introduced to her wonderful music on here - long live RP!
Very nice voice, and she sings marvellously great... the tones variations she puts in her voice are a delight.
It's a pleasure to see that in 2020, such a quality song can be released :)

Delightful Diction! 7/10
This is a new one for me. Thank you, Bill.
Love it

For those who are curious, the long history of Sami (Same) integration into modern Scandanavian society in Norway and Sweden has many similarities with the history of First Nations in Canada.

I was barely paying attention to the playlist, but had to stop and listen to this one. Quite lovely.
First!!! Ane Brun is an acquired taste.
Going with a 6 to start on first listen.
I suspect that will be improved upon though on future listens.
