Baby, show me your love...
Baby, show me your love...
Baby, show me your love...

Show me your love...

Baby, show me your love...
Baby, show me your love...
Baby, show me your love...

I'll go up the hill, look at the valley
If there goes, if there goes my sweetheart.
My dear, tell me, when you started to love,
I'm in love since I've walked the garden,

I've walked the garden, at my parent's (place)
I walk the garden, I'm not looking at the window*.
And on that window was the token laying,
The token was laying - the grape's branch

Grape, my grape, my green grape
The grape hangs on the branch, the nightingale sings at the cage
My nightingale, nightingale, my canary
Sing your song, about my bitter life

Sing your song, about my bitter life
My bitter life, what have you lead me to,
I'd better haven't known you, was strange to you
My heart wouldn't suffer, I'd be calm

Heart aches, fevers, I don't know what to do
I don't know what to do, if I should leave, if I should love
If such a dandy, and loves such a plague
For such a fine fellow to love beautiful maiden...

Baby, show me your love...

My bitter life, what have you lead me to,
I'd better haven't known you, was strange to you

Baby, show me your love...

(Oh, and what were you, Galochka, thinking
When you gave your white hand through the fence)
(Oh I was thinking a thought, and not a single one,
How I'll please my mother-in-law)

Quite interesting to see the sudden spike in 0 ratings on the graph this year, that is quite abnormal. Easy to guess why, but so sad there are people out there who are on that side of things. Don't use a music channel to express your views on that stuff please... Enjoy music for what it is.

Very creative song, and you can feel the emotion in the singing, even if you find it "weird".
I don't know about Ukrainian courting practices, but I know if I started shrieking  "show me your love" in falsetto it would pretty much destroy the mood.
DakhaBrakha{#Hearteyes}, so good.
By the soggy balls of John the Baptist, what in gods name is this unholy noise?
This is reminiscent of the ruckus Yoko Ono made when she joined John Lennon and Chuck Berry on the Mike Douglas show in '72. That vid is worth checking out just for the look on Berry's face.
I logged in to give it a well deserved 1 and saw that I already did, what a huge POS
Seriously?  So hard to listen to.
There's a KEXP live version of this on youtube that is really languid and amazing. Definitely worth checking it out. Also the visuals are great.

10 for me

Phenomenal!

please don't ever play this drek ever again

It never ceases to amaze me how 2 people que obviously have a lot in common in musical taste (we're both tuning the same radio) can differ so much in some songs
Wow, just wow

very nice! Instant like!

Same!  First time hearing this.  Solid 7. Thanks, RP, for introducing me to this music.
please don't ever play this drek ever again
This group is as unique and cohesive a group as I've seen. Watching them live or via video is mesmerizing. I get lost in the web they weave. I love the combination of his alto-mousy, vocals with the layered and often repetitive vocals from the women in the group.

Oh hells yes I like it a lot, the 8 stands for now, LLRP!!
I had a hell of a u-turn of assessment for this one.

What a unique sound!

Thank you for introducing us to the genre of "Ethano-chaos"

Agreed on the groove. But I really cannot stand the lead vocals. The backup is nice trance.

I agree. Don't like the lead vocals. I like the backup singing.
The NPR tiny desk show of this group is awesome. Recommended —> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsNKSbTNd5I

You said it well. "Interesting" vocals, but the groove is solid. The voice...... sort of maybe goes okay with it? I don't hate the song. With repeated listenings, I might even get used to the voice :)

lol "ethno-chaos" genre. Well I did hear a measure of Motown in there so yep.

This is the first time I've heard this and I sit here listening in awe.  The diverse vocals throughout the song combine with each other to make a beautiful song.  I appreciate not everyone will enjoy this song but highly recommend giving it an entire listen before forming a rating/review.   Another RP gem imo.
So thankful this was long enough for me to stop working and go and sit and listen closely. Now I am floating. Thanks!
I walked over to hit PSD> but decided to read about the artists first. Interesting.  Then  the music actually got more interesting, too.  Not gonna run out and buy the CD tonight (well OK, download) but I appreciate the different cultural music and sounds.

Thanks for the exposure, Bill !!
Make it stop! Oh, wait... $&*@ thing's growing on me. 6 for now.

*so at first listen I’m thinking, these vocals are kooky… shit, I can’t sing but maybe I could still pull off a singing career (haha)! Maybe a “2 or 3” rating on just vocal ability. Then I think - is this some of that new-soul, urban stuff that’s come out recently? (not a fan, honestly) “Why Bill, I applaud you giving us something interesting and new, but this is some kooky crap!” Then I hear the magic, the artistry and soul start to shine through. It’s been said “Love covers a multitude of Sin.” But a strong bass groove love = solid listening! Thanks Bill for the introduction to some unique and beautiful. Cheers!

Ouch, very painful to listen to, like nails on a chalkboard- please stop
Респект музикантам та вашій радіостанції {#Hearteyes}

This is one of the most talented Ukrainian musical ethnic groups, which has been creating its unique music using folklore for more than 15 years. The musicians use several different languages in their repertoire, but the ancient spirit of Ukraine is still felt. They are very cool! I recommend you to go to their concert, they often tour America and Europe. They have a very cool atmosphere at concerts, listening to them live is much better than on record!
Respect to the musicians and your radio station {#Hearteyes}

I'm finding myself regularly intrigued at this group's various tracks on RP as they pop up on the playlist...so glad that someone made William and the RP gang aware of their existence....cheers to you....
They sing not in Ukrainian, but in Russian with just a few words in Ukrainian. A combination of both languages is common in Ukraine.
Well, for sure unusual and interesting.
You got me to google more info about these guys....  KEXP has a live performance on youtube.  Thanks!
