Oh, but Mr. Metheny. Saw him for the first time (and only time), 1980 or so, at Ontario Place, Toronto, a jazz festival, outdoor, in the round. This scraggy-haired youngster, with his scraggy-haired keyboardist (Lyle, RIP), came out, completely mesmerized me for an hour. He had probably 6-7 guitars strategically placed around the stage. One draped around his neck, one he was playing, another on a stand, etc. Wild as hell. I remember hearing 'San Lorenzo' as the opener, then 'Jaco'. Crazy how I recall this from 40+ years ago! Jeesh. 'The First Circle', 'Ozark', 'Last Train Home', among my favourites. But I could add about 40 more!
His music has been a faithful companion to me for four decades, lovely to hear him on Radio Paradise that has been a good friend for twenty years now
Lots of love to you and your loved ones, Sir William !
Thank you for playing more Pat!
Gorgeous acoustic guitar!
